Cool thanks, I just set the tivo to record all episodes so I have alot of catching up to do. I will just try and ignore the fact that the kids can't speak properly.

I'm wondering what you think is wrong with their speech (aside from the probable speech and language issues associated with multiples).

This is how rumors get spread so quickly. Someone says they heard it, and people want to believe it, so they take it as truth.

I heard this whole JK8 mess is just a facade, the real Gosselin family has been in Korea for the past month.

Hey. I just realized where I've seen Kate's hairstyle before. Elisa Morgan, the former president of MOPS, (Mothers of Preschoolers), has had that hairstyle for years. MOPS is a Christian organization out of Colorado Springs that forms support groups for mothers of preschoolers.

I'm wondering what you think is wrong with their speech (aside from the probable speech and language issues associated with multiples).

They just seem to have alot of baby talk going on and aren't as verbal in the 2 shows I saw them in. One was when they went to legoland and another was when they were at the church daycare. I didn't like how either parent interacted with the kids. I saw more ordering the kids to do this or that and behave this way or that then actual interaction with them. I guess maybe that is the way the show is or they have to run their house that way? I don't know, it just bothered me.

ETA I am now watching some show on morbidly obese people on TLC. I never channel surf, just leave it on my news station or watch AI or football during football season. I think I may get hooked to this channel.

Hour-long special leads to episodic reality TV series
People have intense love/hate relationship with the Gosselins
Kate has two books published, attempts to become a household name

After 3 years in the public eye, people are invested in the family, especially the children.

And Jon and Kate capitalize on their instant fame and trouble in their marriage while writing a book that will be turned into a movie? Is this a joke?

The picture of Cara crying at the birthday party makes me want to weep for her. She is 8 1/2 years old...my daughter is the same age. She would be humiliated to cry in front of ANYONE...let alone in front of cameras, an entire party, and essentially the millions of TLC viewers. And Kate's overly dramatic eye-rolling was so nurturing. It breaks my heart for Cara. I can just imagine what these past few weeks have been like for her, and Mady.
I can only hope that Kate and Jon use their power of veto to keep Cara's moment of humiliation off the air. That poor kid.

I thought the same, that poor Cara doesn't need her picture all over the internet or on film like that. There's a picture of Mady too in the back of the family van, her little eyes look terribly sad to me. I just think they must know plenty of what's going on, my 8 year old is very observant so I can only imagine that the twins would be too.

Just another reason then to get out of limelight, don't you think? Why put your family in that position? You'd think that J&K would understand that with all the media hype of late. Imagine the twins in a few more years googling themselves online, what do you think with come up??

i would think the logistics of trying to make any kind of movie about them would be a nightmare. when you figure that child labor laws for young actors force most movie producers to use multiples to portray a single young child i can't imagine how many child actors a production company would have to come up with to portray all 8 of the gosselin children.
can you imagine the casting nightmare to come up with a minimum of 8 young children, of a rather specific look, who all need to look to be the same age/aproximate physical size? then, unless they would just be focusing on the kids at one particular age there would have to be additional "sets" of kids to span the age.

the adult actors would be a walk in the park, coming up with and wrangling all those infant and child actors would be a nightmare

you make valid points. I just can't get past the fact that this has become a (potential) Lifetime movie. I didn't realize they even made those anymore.

created drama for ratings. and a movie. and the Gosselins expect their fans will go right along with it. maybe they will. NOTHING surprises me any more.

She "owes" the fans?? How about what she owes her children?? A shot at a normal, private life - without their parents photos appearing all over rag sheets, magazines, etc.. I think she needs to get her priorities straight..

Well said! You know, I think I have officially stopped watching this show. I will not be watching the season premiere either. I really think they are hyping this marriage problem just to get ratings and I think that is disgusting. I will not watch any more. But I'll keep reading this thread.

I guess I don't understand what difference it makes as to what size the house is? They showed a lot of it when they first moved there, on the inside, and they have shown most of the downstairs on the show. Perhaps they were still working on putting up lights etc. and more will be shown this upcoming season, when they put in the vacuum system etc. For the price, I would think people would just assume it was large.

It must be strange to only follow the show and not have a clue about all that is going on in the background, that is mostly being followed on the internet. In that case I would prob not think there is much tado, since I look at the rags in the check-out line and assume they are lies.

Yes, because you follow them on the internet. There are a lot of people that don't, like my Mom and her friends. I also have some friends in my playgroup that are only casual viewers of the show and have no clue how big the house really is...
