they had help on their outings, too... in fact, I don't know that there's ever been a time in the short life of this show that Jon & Kate haven't had help in some form or fashion.

I'm thinking Day Out with Thomas...I can't recall anyone else (on camera, of course someone could be off camera helping...and that's true for all of these shows). Were there helpers at Crayola?

Again, does the Table for 12 family have helpers? Hired or not?

Well that sucks! Oh well.

We'll probably never go during free dining (to get free dining), nor do we get the DDP, so it's all good. We're not typically TS daily type tourists. I'd rather use a room and/or ticket discount than pay full price for a room and get a perk that we won't use to its fullest.

dd is maddy's age and ONLY has 4 braces on the top for phase one which will last at best a year. she does have a appliance to help her crossbite which is our goal this round.. Her bottom teeth are perfect and if she does need phase 2 it will be straightening of them only. so having only the top at their age is not so strange..

you know, I think the Crayola episode is one of the few I haven't seen .. so I can't speak to that. and you may be right about the Thomas episode. I know that on the train when the guide was talking about the history of the trains, it was just Jon, Kate, and the kids. With that said, I don't remember ever reading any posts anywhere from people who were at the train event the same day. The recent episodes .. where Kate's so happy to be taking the kids "by herself" .. there have been posters (here and other places) that have seen an entourage with the Gosselins.

isn't it awful? I'm not sure what part of the state you drove through to get to Bowling Green, but there are places where it literally looks like a bomb went off. And it's been 2.5 months since the storm. We finally had our debris picked up about 2 weeks ago, it's taken that long .. and they say it will be another 6 weeks or so before they've gotten everything pulled up to the roadside.

I65. My cousins son was hired by FIMA. They guaranteed him 2 years if not more of work, cutting trees and cleaning debri.

Speaking of weird weathery, nature-y stuff...there are huge and multiple grass fires here. The wind is horrid, and I had to pick up a friend of mine's DS from school because she was about an hour and a half away from here. It took her almost three hours to get here due to the three fires jumping the highway and a hailstorm. They're evacuating entire neighborhoods. So far no injuries reported, though.

Luckily it's just windy here, but go 15, 20 miles North or South, and it's crazy. And tomorrow will be 70 degrees and sunny, I'm sure.

Omg...by my house too!! Nothing real close, but we could smell them all afternoon and they seemed to be jumping highways and causing havoc places around me. I just turned on the news to hear any updates...We had 40mph wind gusts here today...that is not good!

I remember the mom on Table for 12 say that her mom lives 2 miles from them and she helps out on outings. I saw her on the episode where they went ice skating and then the grandmom had to leave early.

Yep, she also said that her mom comes every day to help.

Hmmm, I wonder if Kate feels she still needs to be very aware of where/what her kids are doing during outings. What I mean is, sure she may have helpers, but mentally she probably still feels like she needs to know who has what child and what they're doing, who's going to the bathroom, etc. I know that would exhaust me if I had 8 kids, 6 of which are little.

For us, we've gone to amusements parks (Dutch Wonderland just like in an episode of J&K) when ours were little and even though my sister came to help out, I still felt I needed to be aware, watching, etc. By the end of the day, I was pretty tired.

So, ya she's got some helpers but considering her controlling nature, I'll bet she really IS exhausted after outings. She and Jon always say that it's an ordeal to get them all organized on their trips and such. Know what I mean?

Maybe. Based on reports from people who saw them at the Globetrotters game .. the kids had handlers, and Jon & Kate came out when it was time to film. But that's just internet chatter .. no idea whether or not it's true.

I am sure she is tired after an outing, especially when you consider the cameras, lights, and filming aspect of the show. I can't imagine the amount of planning that goes into all of that.

The older children are also extremely helpful - I believe the older twins are 12 which is a huge difference maturity wise compared to Maddy and Cara.

Just found this and new to the thread, so hi! I couldn't find it in pp, but whatever happened to Carla, Beth, Aunt Jodie, and their young helper, Jenny? I am pathetically clueless when it comes to gossip and just yesterday heard about some scandal where Jon went to some bar and partied with college girls. What's the deal? Sorry, I don't know anything. If there aren't updates on the Disney Channel, I don't hear about it.

Hi! I drop in every now and again just to see what kind of nonsense is being spread on here. There was a photo of Jon and 2 girls but it looked like 2 fans that had actually just asked for a photo with him but it was just what the haters needed to fuel the fire. UNLESS...he's an idiot and was dumb enough to be cheating on Kate in a very public place knowing photos were being taken of him. I tend to think it was just fans...but then again, I don't pick everything they do apart and ridicule every aspect of thier lives like a lot of folks who don't have anything better to do. I tend to think of them as being fortunate to have the opportunities and experiences they have because of the show. Otherwise, they would still be struggling to get by and stressed to the max. Others would prefer they live that way since Jon and Kate are money hungry owners of a sweat shop where they force thier kids to perform for the cameras and are damaging them for life and warping thier personalities.(At least thats what some want you to believe.)

Most everything you read on here is pure negative gossip. There are a few who remain neutral and a few actual fans of the Gosselins.
