I wonder if TLC keeps track of the schedule of events at the nearest arena (Wachovia Center?) and if anything looks remotely interesting, they arrange for a shoot there. It looked like "Sesame Street Live" and the Harlem Globetrotters were in the same place (judging by the background of where they had the meet and greets).
The Globe Trotter event was at the Sovereign Center in Reading, PA. That would be the closest arena to them. Sesame Street Live was at the Giant Center in Hershey, PA. That arena is also fairly close. I have been to both and they are nice places to see shows.
I would highly doubt they would see events at the Wachovia Center (Philly) as it is a bit of a drive with lots of traffic. Plus, it is huge and getting in and out is a nightmare. And Philly fans can be
I thought it was so interesting how Kate was commenting on how all the kids were raised in the same house, the same way, with the same parents and yet they all turned out so different. Aaden is obviously one of those kids that just doesn't like being messy. A bunch of the others could have cared less. They have the perfect environment to see how different kids can be! I know Kate gets a lot of flack for not letting the kids "be kids" and get messy, but I think we are really starting to see that the individual child personalities play just as big of a role as Kate.I actually got the opposite impression of this. I didn't think he was being cute, but that he was being a miniature Kate!
The Globetrotters were in Reading, PA on Wednesday, February 25th.The trip to the museum and art gallery were filmed while Jon was away at his mom's.The Harlem Globetrotters game was around this time, as well -- early March?

I wonder if the reason Jon doesn't want to do the show any more is specifically because of the pictures and the fact that he got "caught" with them.

I also thought of this, too. Why would he wait after 4 seasons, get all the freebies, trips, etc. and then decide this isn't for him?
I always`wondered about the whole aunt jodi thing....Does it makes `sense that TLC would volunteer to pay her without any prompting??...It doesn't to me...what makes more sense to me is that Aunt Jodi wanted to be paid by TLC and TLC would not pay her "enough"...so she pulled out of appearing on the show.
My BIL works in tV production for the BBC and he thinks this is the most likely senario...he says TLC would have not just decided oh lets pay good ole Aunt Jodi for apperaring..It must have come from Her.
If this is the case I can't blame Kate for being annoyed with her SIL.
Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

I heard that TLC was going to pay AUnt Jodi, but KATE didn't want her to be paid for being on the show. This was from the Gosselins Without Pity website

You know....that makes total sense to me.
I wouldn't put much stock in what that hate website says.

I wrote a blog entry about Aunt Jodi's video back in August -- and even though Jodi is no longer on the show, that entry still gets hundreds of hits a week. There will be an occasional comment, and last week someone posted that it is a matter of public record about some of what went on with Jodi. No idea if it's true or not. If that is true, and someone can produce evidence to support one side or the other .. why isn't that all over the internet?![]()

I think I meant the Sovereign Center in Reading.
Then, I'm stumped. Why would they see the Harlem Globetrotters? Jon wasn't interested and I'm sure the kids didn't care. I can't imagine the Globetrotters thinking "Hey, let's invite the Gosselins!". Unless one of their wives is a fan of J&K+8 and suggested it.
Kate mentioned that they were invited by the GlobeTrotters. She said some of the Globetrotters liked to watch their show on their bus. One of the GT had his own camera and was taking pictures. I also saw Kate with a camera during the 2nd half. She stopped one of the GT coming off the court with one of the kids and told him to stop and back up, so she could take a picture. I was wondering if she had his camera or her camera.

Alright, so here's my opinion of the Aunt Jodi thing. Obviously I have no idea what really happened or didn't, but I remember reading something about Kate being quoted as saying nobody gets paid from our family/kids, but us. A lot of ppl. gave her a lot of flack for that comment (whether or not it was true.) My opinion, even it is true, I can kinda understand it, and honestly it's their life and they should get to make that decision. Just for the kids sake, I can see why a parent wouldn't want other ppl. having a stake at what happens to the show, just because you never know what influences ppl. to make certain decisions, so Kate may have just been trying to prevent anyone else (family/friends, obviously TLC will, but to me that's different)trying to pressure them ect. into doing things that they might not have wanted to, because they had money at stake as well. Don't get me wrong, I think Aunt Jodi and anyone else that I saw on the show, absolutely loved those kids to death, but still you never know, and it could be unconsiously, so I can kinda see Kate's point.
I will say, I saw the video with Aunt Jodi, and honestly it made me lose a lot of respect for her. I'm not sure why she'd make a video to post on the internet...I don't know why she would think it would be that important to say she/her sister were right about the situation.
I really hope that for all involved, that they have worked things out and are still able to spend time together away from the show or at some point in their lives they're able to.

Shows you how much I pay attention to the details!!
I didn't say that they expected to receive goodie bags, only that I am tired of seeing it and that I felt that they were unnecessary and that I would have liked to have seen those things given to special needs kids rather than the Gosselins if they were given at all.
I didn't say, nor imply that J&K expect to receive special treatment. I was merely passing on speculation about why the children received boos when introduced - based on direct statements from people who attended the game. The consensus of the people sitting in the area behind and to the right of J&K's floor seats was that the boos were related to special treatment of the Gosselin kids rather than the group of SN kids. I simply wondered if after these same people saw the show with the Gosselin's receiving goodie bags backstage during halftime, if they were even more dismayed. Bro and SIL did not participate in the booing, they were merely present.
I'm not suggesting, nor implying anything. I'm simply relating direct comments made to me by eyewitnesses and my own observations and opinions of those observations.
Jon & Kate were not responsible for the treatment that any other spectator may or may not have received at the event.
The Globetrotters invited the Gosselins to the show, and then invited them back stage where the Globetrotters presented the Gosselins with gifts. If the other audience members felt slighted, then perhaps they should complain to the Globetrotters manager or agent.
