So these 50 or so that came to help, when they so needed the help and help they did not pay were now considered tromping in and they wanted their lives back?? Almost like these 50+ helpers took their lives and their privacy.....

I've always seen them as very appreciative of all the help they got especially in the begining, but let's be honest, wouldn't you prefer to have your house and family to yourself if you could? I know I for one, would be going crazy with all those ppl. coming in and out all the time too, even though I would have needed it and would have appreciated it. I'm guessing some ppl. probably did start getting hurt feelings at that point, but they really should have looked at the big picture and not taken it personally. I can totally see where they were coming from saying it was nice for it to just be their family finally, and like I said I've only seen them be appreciative for those ppl. that helped them so much in the begining. It was going to end at some point. And yes, I'm sure they did feel it was taking away their family time and privacy, wouldn't you? no matter how much it was needed or appreciated.

Wouldn't you want your house back after awhile? When my girls were born my mom came to help (and I only had one baby at a time) and while I appreciated the help, I was happy to see her go and get my house and life back. Doesn't mean I don't love and appreciate my mother.

I think part of the problem with Jon & Kate is that they are a reality show and not professional actors. They have no acting talent. They say they created this show so people could see how life was with a large family. Well we saw how it was having 6 babies and 2 older siblings and trying to make ends meet. Everything has changed since the beginning, the kids are older, they are no longer begging for money--they just demand it, and nobody is interested in someone cleaning a fridge for 4 hours. It seems that the new episodes filmed at the new house are boring. They are running out of things to film other than their freebie trips. I can see why they get negative blogs considering the way they present themselves.

I remember in an interview, Jon and Kate said the appreciated all the help, but one nite, both had fed all the kids. And the same thing the next evening. They said they found that they were able to handle the night time feedings and didn't need all the help anymore. A comment was made how they loved all the help, but it was nice not having people tromping through the door all hours of the day anymore and they were finally getting their life back.I'm betting, this is when all the hurt feelings started with friends and family. They just cut everyone off with taking care of the kids. They still had that one lady come in and fold the laundry and I think Beth and her dd still came over and put the clothes away.

Now they probably can't wait for the TLC crew to leave so they can get their life back.

What if someone is "sure they haven't" invested wisely? Do we demand proof? Remind them they don't know any such thing? The absolutes can't be one sided, that's not playing fair.

Fine...I'm not positive that they have invested wisely...but if I was betting on it...I would bet that they will be fine when the camera are gone....

I hope so too. I worry about them surrounding themselves with mainly people who profit from them. Who advises them and loves them? I wonder.

and you (not anyone specific, just the general you) know what? whether they have or they haven't really isn't anyone's business but their own. unless they put it out there for public consumption....then all bets are off. LOLOL.

Well we are very boring at my house....DH had a dog while growing up....he was allowed to name his dog and he choose "Puppy Dog".

I remember when my now 26yo DS got a cabbage patch doll in the very early '80's...he was probably 2.5...he named the doll "Dolly". AND just a few months ago DS got himself a kitten from the local rescue shelter...he named her..."Kitty".

Very very orginial names!!!

We aren't very creative either. There are two stray cats in my neighborhood and we've been calling them Shiny Black Kitty and Fluffy Black Kitty because one has short and one has long hair, but when I talk to them I definitely just call them both Kitty. We just made appointments to get them fixed and vaccinated to adopt them and that's the names we put them under. The person making the appointment thought it was hilarious.

And as for letting children name their pets. When my mom was about 15 years old she got a dog...and she named him Refer because she liked hearing her mom "yell for refer". It is a pretty funny story looking back but goes to show that even older children can offer up terrible names...

I named all my pets growing up and they had some weird names. We had Knot, Tippy Tail, Yeller and Runt just to name a few, LOL.

My son named two of our cats---Pharaoh and Onyx, which weren't too bad. The other two--Blythe and Antonio--were named by the foster mom and neither of us liked the others suggestions for names, so they will stay Antonio and Blythe.

I don't see anything wrong with a parent naming pets, especially when there are 8 kids who will argue over it. I imagine Maddy would have been even more dramatic if Cara's(or Joel's) name was picked over hers. I do think Kate was stupid to get two big dogs with her personality. Dogs area lot of mess and a lot of work! Puppies are about 4x as time consuming as dogs. Cats are much easier to get used to, IMHO.

I meant that I'm sure they will say that - just like they did about the friends and helpers.
