I don't know, did she? I didn't think she did .. it says a Q & A with Jessica Remo, not a Q & A by Jessica Remo. I got the impression it was addressing concerns expressed by readers of the first article?

It doesn't say it's by anyone. Her last article was credited.

I don't know, it seems to me like she made an effort for balance in her sources, but her sources didn't cooperate. That doesn't really surprise me, based on speculation here and elsewhere.

I find this statement particularly interesting:

Why hasn’t this information been published in the mainstream media before?
Probably because no one has had the time or patience to confirm it all. The reporting on this took me more than two months and included persuading a lot of people to talk to me.

Which is funny because obviously some people have the time. Maybe too much. I'll admit, I totally check the thread on breaks at work, after the kiddo is in bed, etc., but I don't post about JK8 (or even read unless it's linked here) anywhere else. It's strictly a DIS addiction. I certainly am not spending time writing point by point reviews of the shows like some bloggers have done (still do?).

Someone posted that the boss she talked to has been in trouble. Definitely an interesting tidbit compared with this article.

I agree 100%. I've said it before that if the information is credible, and I believe some of it is, it would be easy to put together something about Jon & Kate. I can't believe that no one has yet. The National Enquirer has run a couple of things .. but other than that? Not much. Why is that? Again, this applies to either side of the fence. Good or bad.

I read other sites. I only post about them here. And I have been known to write a blog entry about JK8 on my personal blog, but it's nothing ... NOTHING like the sites devoted to the lives and times of Jon & Kate Gosselin. I cannot imagine how much time these people have devoted to the devotion or hatred of the Gosselins. It's crazy!

which boss? the writer or Jon's?

I'm Kate.

No, not really. Have you been following the thread long? Believe me, I've made my share of jokes and pokes (there I go again) at Kate's expense. I would defend anyone if I felt they were being wrongly accused or called out for something that I felt was wrong. Again, it's the deb8er (not JK8er) in me. In general, I'm a very passionate person. I'll go head to head when I believe I'm right. You should have seen me in my college religious ethics class.

ETA: Now, will you be asking our carnival friend if she would bash Kate if she gave a million dollars to charity or a kidney to her child? ;)

Well I was wondering if you really WERE Kate, LOL! Thank you for answering in such a nice way! And I dont know who the carnival friend is but when Kate does something nice, I will definintely ask carnival friend if she bashes Kate.

I actually missed the episode on Monday where they got the dogs cause I was in Disney!:cool1: But I heard from some friends about the "You're not welcome!" comment.:sad2:

I was going to say you are someone who sees the good side of things!
My Sister is a cancer, she never sees any bad...even when proven to her.

carnival friend = cottoncandylvr = someone from GWOP.

cottoncandylvr hasn't been DIS-ing lately that I know of. (thank goodness) At least, not under that screen name. LOL.

Jon's boss (mentioned in the article). It's a page or so back.

I was going to say you are someone who sees the good side of things!

I've definitely led a life dotted by tragedy and general "bad," so I absolutely try to look for the good in every situation. However, if anyone on this thread were ever able to prove any of the crazy accusations, I'd believe it. Hasn't happened yet.

:rotfl:

watching the puppies episode ...

where they are sitting at the table wearing bibs.

the naming thing could have been handled better. I don't see this so much as Kate wouldn't let them choose the name, but it was more (to me) Kate saying, "too bad, so sad" they have names. No compassion at all.

Kate is really tan. wow. the hair isn't as distracting as it's been in other episodes. She's come a long way in her appearance though. very glam compared to the early shows.

the blah, blah comments? for some reason, they didn't bother me quite as much as some of of her earlier rude comments. she was relaying how she felt at the time he was guarding her .. which had been some time ago. We have no way to now how she treated the guy while he was blah, blah, blahing. Rude to have admitted on TV that she thought that, though. A little sensitivity would be nice.

Mady seems to melt down at the drop of a hat. Hopefully that's just the edit.

all the kids on the trampoline made me nervous.

so the owner "basically" said he'd take them back. I'd gotten a different impression about that.

Kate saying "you're not welcome"? Totally unnecessary. Completely uncalled for.

:

I'm watching it again and trying to look at Kate with a critical eye and see her as "too thin" as some people have posted, but I don't see it...I think she looks awesome. Her hair does look better in this episode, the stripes aren't as noticeable.

I didn't notice her size one way or the other.
I am curious to see how she looks IRL, though.

I can just imagine all the hoopla if she let the kids pick names, because no way would they all agree and I'm sure Kate would have been called evil because she picked Hannah's name instead of Joel's. Nevermind that Hannah wanted to call the puppy Scout and Joel wanted to name him Poopybutt. (I totally made that up btw) I can hear it now, "poor Joel, what's wrong with the name Poopybutt?? Kate is so mean to the boys". :lmao:

:lmao: :lmao:

I named our dog and have no guilt about it whatsoever. Any dog I'm going to be in charge of training, I reserve the right to name!

I don't see anything wrong with them picking the dogs name with 8 kids there is no way they could have made everyone happy. I don't think I would have got German Shepards for there first dogs. German are wonderful dogs I would problay started out with a golden or a lab.

I know I don't post much, but here's my take....

I almost felt sorry for Jon and Kate this episode (almost....I don't hate them, but I don't particularly like them either). The way Kate made her announcement, she was expecting joy and adulation. I think they actually put some thought into the names. They were pretty kid friendly and meant something to their family. I don't think they were expecting tears and tantrums.

(Same thing with the walk in the woods. I think Jon wanted to do something with his kids that he enjoyed and was hoping they would enjoy as well. I've been frustrated too in similar situations. "This is fun! Quit being a brat!")

Anyway....getting a puppy is a bit like having a baby. You know it's going to be messy, but you can't possibly know how messy until you have them in hand. And getting a puppy in the winter means lots of standing out in the snow in the middle of the night waiting for them to quit playing long enough to poop. I don't envy them that at all.

Most of the kids seemed okay with the puppy situation. It was the older two that were in fits. And to that end.....I don't handle fits well. I get that if they deal with Mady's stomping and temper tantrums, then they'll have to deal with Kate's too, but I think they both need some....intervention.

I think the whole family could use a little humbling.

I believe that had everything to do with the manner in which Kate presented it.

I thought about it a little bit last night, what I might have done in the same situation. I think that I might have presented the whole idea that we have these puppies, and their names are (fill in the blank), done in an excited way, but made it clear that these are the names the dogs came with. There's no need to even give the slightest hint that there was an option to name them. No comments about "this is why we didn't let you name them" and "you can name the next ones" (things that Kate said)

And I hope Jon takes care of the dogs, because it's clear that Kate wants no part of it.

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: Don't you know if you say the name 3 times they reappear - just like the film 'Candyman'!!!!!!!!! Hook hand a'slashin'!!!!!:scared1: :scared1:

Does anyone know what Monday's episode is about?

89 "Bye Old House" March 2, 2009
The Gosselins go back to their old house, to finalize everything and for one last look at the memories they created there.

looks like the Philly mag article may be stirring the pot a little bit ...

http://www.glamour.com/sex-love-life/blogs/storked/2009/03/jon-kate-8-under-attack.html

and completely unrelated to that article, there are reports from people that (allegedly) saw the Gosselin family at a Harlem Globetrotter game. I get the impression they were filming for an episode, and the family was recognized/announced (like at halftime or something) at some point. There were boos. Probably not a lot .. but one is too many, if the kids are involved, IMO.
