And I wonder if that tan is real or a spray tan.

I am going to guess with 8 children it is probably either a spray tan or fake n' bake....how would she have 5 minutes to lay in the sun AND that being said if she was laying in the sun, getting her Vit D then that had to have been a tan that has lasted very long because isn't it late Fall, early Winter right now in PA on the show.

The other thing is unless you have plans to travel someplace tropical in the Winter, I can not understand someone needing a spray tan or fake n' bake.... I live in CA and you would never know I live here. I do not like a tan all year long. I look for the Winters to not be tanned. Living in SoCal you get tanned walking to check your mail.

I also noticed the weight loss and was wondering about the tan - she was really dark. My sil looks that way when she goes to the 'spray tan', so, I bet it was a 'spray on'.

Way to dark!!!! They stated it was three weeks before Christmas.
I am dark skin natural, and get pretty dark even with sun screen. I don’t even have a tan line now. It is spray! Don’t you guys remember the episode when Jon and her want away just the two of them and Kate got sun burn?
She looks she is trying to keep up with Kelly Ripka.

I have been that dark before, using my favorite Club Tan, where some friends of mine work. Some of the really good beds can bake you very fast, and some people do it enough for them to much darker than Kate- they just do it too much.

I remember this one girl in high school who went every other day claiming it to be an addiction.

Some people look better when they lose weight and go tanning more, but Kate is not one of them. She look awful to me. Her face looks funny now that it doesn't have a little fat on it and it's only made worse with the leather face look.

The hair does not help.... She looked much better when it was a lot shorter.

I was thinking that she looked really good on Monday nights show. I am usually really critical of people who are too dark in the winter, but I didn't think she looked bad at all.

I think the weight looks great on her.

As I said pages ago... I think she looks like Mommy Spice. She and Posh have the same look going on, which is ridiculous to me for a suburban PA mother of eight. She wore huge heels to the kennel.
She is trying to be Hollywood. She is fake tanned, very thin, botoxed, bleached, spiked, veneered and invisaligned looking to me. If you like that look, then she's workin' it.
I thought she was just adorable when I first started following them. Kate is naturally very pretty. In her wedding pictures she is stunning.

Actually, I haven't seen a full episode in a while. I catch bits and pieces when it's rerun throughout the week or if they do a marathon at odd hours. I'm more of a debater than a JK8er. Can't stand to let a good argument pass.

I agree. There is something going on with her teeth, they look really big to me. Maybe it is because she has lost so much weight, or maybe she got them veneered.

The hair, oh my. It is a reverse mullet. Party in the front, business in the back. I don't understand why she has that rooster spike in the back either. Very strange for sure.

We decided it would have really nice for the kids if they each had gooten a present, something for the dogs to open and then the big announcement. Kate could had also spent a few days before teaching the younger kids about dogs, different kinds, etc. Using the situation as a learning experience. Not making her royal proclamation. I only wish I could run into her at the grocery store or somewhere. Even my dh, who has only seen a few tidbits of a episodes, says that "kate is no mother, she's an actress". Maybe the octomom can move in with Jon & Kate.

There is a new article on the Gosselins. It reveals some interesting things, one of which is that Jon has been lying about why he was fired from his job when Kate was pregnant with the sextuplets. It seems he wasn't fired for insurance reasons as they stated, but for doing unauthorized side jobs. It's an interesting read.

That wasn't a bad read, actually. A lot of the linked articles aren't worth the paper they aren't printed on, but aside from a few obvious hiccups (the lady who said the kids were exploited...but only once they pulled out of her speaking engagement), it wasn't entirely biased.

Everyone always asks where the Gosselin's friends, family, etc. are, but I wonder where the credible investigative reporters are. All of these exposes are from no-name internet "reporters" and small town papers. Anyone and their PennMommy can post things online, throw in a few local names and claim they're true, but I'm pretty skeptical of a "publication" without public trust and reputation.

That article reads exactly like the blog it comes from. The person who wrote it, I won't even insult real journalists and give her that title, is a GWOP member. She was searching for information there and hit up the J&K haters for info. I get it. She doesn't like Jon and Kate. 6 pages worth though? Not really necessary.

I was reading through some of the comments after the piece and I must say that it amazes me how any time someone posts something in support of J&K they are accused of being Jon, Kate or their PR people. I didn't post anything on this one, but I have posted some things in the past on other sites and the attacks start right away.
