I do remember both of those posts .. and the 2nd one you mention got raked over the coals pretty good ... but I believe her story panned out? I wasn't on this thread when the BBB mom posted, but I do remember reading it later on.

The BBB one is news to me. A CM friend of mine rooms with a girl who has worked at the MK BBB for a while. We're hanging out on our trip. I'll find out if there's any truth to that one.

I just saw the "Soup" a few minutes ago. Gave me a chuckle. Did you notice that Jon's hair transplant has worked wonders. He now has a really full head of hair. Wish I could get that for dh. Guess all I need is to pop out 6 more kids and become a ______. (I'll let you fill in your own blank.)

I need a link for the latest. The coupon freak out on " the soup" was hi-lar-ious.

Was the one in MK around in '07? I thought it is pretty new. The Gosselins were heading to Cirque with just the twins, so they may have been at DTD. I remember thinking it was cool the CM's mom posted. I read about people spotting them, but people interacting with them (and reporting!) is not as common.

it was the same day Beth & Kate went to Cirque?? I remember reading that, too? It may not have been part of the JK8 thread. I'll have to investigate.

It would be interesting just for the credability of ppl. talking, however in all honesty I can totally see a 7 year old at BBB with mom and a meltdown, no matter who it is. My DD is only 2, but she's pretty darn stubborn already. I can imagine when we go to WDW when she's older and has opinions we'll butt heads a little here and there. I have a DS (7) and there are definetly times there's a lot of attitude.

I've googled and googled and can't find it. I know I read about it here. I don't know that I remember it being the BBB at the MK, though. crap.

I'm sure it's been said here, but quite frankly 150 pages worth of posts is a LOT to go through. Anyways, Joel likes to rename several shows including:

But my favorite was another clip where Kate had berated Jon for something, and Joel simply says "Tune in next season for a new series named 'Jon Minus Nine!'"

I caught that episode (not a huge E! watcher), and that was pretty funny.

Well, there was an article in a paper from the swimming teachers from the Outer Banks. They were around the family for 2 weeks with and without the camera present and they had positive things to say.

I would dig it up, but I'm too lazy right now...

I'll have to try and google today....I should have some time. It's just interesting to see what those who are actually around them have to say - good or bad.

There was a poster on here a long time ago whose daughter had worked on Mady or Cara at Bippity Boppity in the summer of '07 (I think). She said it was bad, bad, bad and "didn't make the cut for show footage." She attributed the negative experience to Kate's behavior, NOT the girls and said she couldn't say much for fear her daughter would lose her job!?
Someone else on this thread said they had encountered them at a park/playground and had a less than positive experience. I think the hired people (babysitters, etc.) which seem to be the only people they are around much must be signing confidentiality agreements. Where are family members? College friends? Former colleagues? Church members? If these people came out with a story would they be believed if it was negative? What about positive? I don't know that they would ever be seen as credible by "both" sides. What a terrible spot to be in. Guess we'll have to wait for one of the kids' tell alls! Can't really deny someone who lived it! Well actually Joan Crawford's daughter was accused of fabricating Mommie Dearest...you really can't win.

I wish I would have been around then! I guess I'm just searching for more details on either side...as many are at this point!

I don't post much, but lurk alot. I like having the two view points on in the same thread. The J & K fan thread would probably turn my screen into rose colored glasses, and I am afraid the hater thread would melt my whole computer from all the toxic venom! And those of us "middle-of-the-roaders" wouldn't know where to go.

I agree. Most of the time this thread is pretty balanced. Every now and then, well, you know.

The best thing to do is take everything...EVERYTHING here with a grain of salt. Good and bad, all opinions will be biased. That's the nature of opinions.

As for the occasional , just ignore it and it usually goes away. There are tons of other places on the internet that someone can go to get a rise out of people. If we aren't like that, it gets boring for that person.

Anyone who watches the show is buying into the fantasy, good or bad. Since you seem to have such a negative obsession with it, yet still watch it, one could say that you've bought into it as well.

You can always change the channel.
