Being from the UK I wasn't aware your bars so strictly segregated over there - 'only for singles' or 'only for marrieds'.
Over here a bar is a bar is a bar.

They are not really "strictly segregated" but a lot of bars are known for being more for singles than others. Just like bars being more for yuppies, red necks, gays, etc. Doesn't mean others cant go there.

I guess the picture came from a message board that saw Jon at the bar on Valentine's Day night with his buddies. The rumor was that he left with some girls, not sure if that is true or not. But there is a picture showing he was there looking a little drunk (to me).

And then I see this on The Insider website this morning:

I have to say - What's the big deal??

Yes he's married, but does that mean he can't go out with his friends and have a few drinks now and again? He's photographed with a couple of girls - he is semi-famous, maybe they asked him to pose with them - he's not exactly got his hands up their shirts or anything - to me, not a big deal.

Devoutly Christian star of TV reality series, about life with his family ... whose life is under a microscope ... claims that he's not living at home (even if the claim isn't true, it's out there) after a lavish vow renewal in Hawaii less than 6 months ago, where they proclaim they're together FOREVER? Jon & Kate face enough scrutiny about their marriage from the show, they certainly don't need this kind of press, IMO.

PS. I know that there are plenty of Christians who drink. But, Jon & Kate never struck me as the type who do .. and they do a LOT of speaking engagements in churches. Churches that likely don't encourage drinking.

Actually Kate has never been all alone with her kids. Carla organizes, cleans and gardens, Jodi and Kevin had them half the week (or more) Beth had them a lot, Kate had the TV crew also. Jon wakes up gets them dressed feeds them breakfast, and bathes them and puts em in bed. Thats along with his other child care chores Kate pushes on him. Have you ever seen her do anything? While the cameras were there she had catering brought in, so what is she doing? Also, Jon was unemployed in the tups first year Kate worked.
Now Jon says that he is the SAHD. Kate wanted to be a parent but when it didn't fullfill her she pushed it off on Jon and the 12 nannies they've gone through since Beth and Jodi were fired.

And you need to read the article from the parkcity utah press and see him talk about shipping Cara home and staying to hang out with 15 yr olds, his words, literally. And find his speech from Penn State where he admits to having gone through 12 nannies.
All the truth is out there, just read their own words!
Watch the show and listen to what they say then read the articles they give conflicting info. It's all lies like that group Milli Vanilli.

OK, I know I shouldn't respond but I'm taking the bait - so Jon is effectively on his own then - doesn't he have the camera crew there? And I've seen a fair few episodes where it was only Kate with all the kids. i thought that's what a marriage is meant to be - a partnership.

As for his Utah comment - anyone heard of sarcasm? because that comment reeks of sarcasm to me

Where exactly does Milli Vanilli fit in??

Jon is an unemployed IT Slacker. He spent one semester at Millersville University partying before dropping out and going home to live with his mother and brother Mark and getting a hotel job before meeting Katie.
And there have been many rumors of Kate liking to drink at TLC and Industry parties. They just hide it from everyone, like they've hidden the 12 nannies, the chef and now the fulltime Vietnamese nanny.

Hmmmkay, so I did a little searchy-poo of my own. Someone pointed out the background of the picture. Sysco (restaurant and bar supplier) boxes are out, chairs on tables. Doubt this picture was taken in the middle of a wild college party at whatever bar. Looks like two waitresses/bartenders wanted a pic with a celeb. Bad timing (aka mid-blink) in the picture.

I don't think this will turn out as big as it seems at the moment. I'm interested to see how this pans out.

So sad, I was expecting the excuses to start. Here they are. It wasn't a sarcastic comment he made. Jon is still too immature. He likes to have fun and he's doing that more and more with the ski condo and the barhopping.
That is not the behavior of an Christian family man of 8 kids.

And Milli Vanilli was a pseudo hip hop group who were hired to look good while others did the actual singing. Kate and Jon are cute and have cute kids, but the cooks, organizers, housekeepers, ghost writers, nannies etc do the real work.

I'm pretty sure I've heard Jon talk about the Vietnamese nanny, as well as Kate mention the multiple babysitters and CS. I'm sure they're keeping things from the public eye, but those aren't it.

Call them up and ask them about what a fine Christian married man was doing at their bar every night for a week there. You don't think Jon had all those hot young blondes on his Facebook page for nothing do you? Jon and Kate were about to divorce last year around the time of the cupcake episode. They said it themselves. You can tell by the couch interviews that there is no love left and whatever intervention they got in May or April didn't work.

Jon + Kate = Disaster
Flipping through The New York Times yesterday, I came across a piece on Jon & Kate Plus 8, the reality show which follows a family with eight children. Train Wreck Factor, I thought in reaction to the story, titled "Big Brood Spawns Big Ratings." Unfair? Maybe, but train wreck describes my experience with Jon and Kate.

I interviewed Jon and Kate Gosselin for a Valentine's Day story called 8 Love Tips from Jon & Kate. While on the phone with the couple, Kate yelled at Jon for interrupting her, said he wasn't very good at communicating and generally treated him like he was a misbehaving child. After his initial attempts at answering my questions garnered such a response, Jon kept quiet.

The publicist, who was also on the phone, recognized the interview was spiraling out of control and suggested Kate tell me about renewing their vows in Hawaii. Kate lost it. She yelled into the phone, "I'm so sick of talking about Hawaii. It was really nice, but it's over and we just keep re-hashing it." Dead. Silence.

I asked a few more questions, trying to coax something, anything out of them. They juggle so much, there must be something they do to keep their marriage afloat. Kate said, "Marriage is a lot of work and anyone who says it's not is lying." OK, but what do you do to work on it? How do you work on it? Finally, Kate snapped, "This is stupid. I don't know why you're doing this story. We're not romantic or lovey. We're not that couple." She's right, I thought. Dead. Story.

There you have it. They have no marriage left.
