I saw that too. I even rewound it and paused on it to see if it was the fridge. It looked like just the doors to me :confused3

I am wondering if they just got new stainless doors for the fridge? Can you even do that??? I would bet if the seals on the doors were bad that you could get a mold problem. Not sure why they would still be in the basement though?

Yes sub zero fridges are all SS but you can get panels to fit them that match cabinets. Take off the panels and your get, silver.

I could be wrong, but it looks like it's the actual fridge in the basement, not just the doors. I *think* I can see one of those yellow, energy-efficiency labels on the side of it...???

Someone posted a bit back about wanting to know where a listing a speaking engagements could be found. I was curious to see if they'd be anywhere near me and cannot find a list anywhere - everything I read directs me to the sixgosselins.com (I think that's their site) but I can't find anything there. This is the only thing I found and it's really not that current: http://sixgosselins.blogspot.com/2008/09/in-search-of-gosselins-speaking.html. I'm curious to see why they cancelled so many of their speaking engagements. The one comment below the listing sounds like the church group was pretty ticked off about them cancelling.

This one is where I live ...

it's all over other boards that she has a different fridge in the kitchen, and the one she spent so much time cleaning is in the basement.

in next week's episode, they get all new appliances.

I was flipping through the channels .. JK8 is on, the July 4 episode .. where Kate just said that because they're 3, the sextuplets were big enough to walk without riding in a stroller.

why is 3 old enough for no stroller, but they're still sitting in a high chair at 4?

I thought that was kind of funny. LOL.

MM27, did you watch the episode? (I'm not be snarky - I couldn't tell from your post if you had or not). I am generally pretty supportive of J&K, but when he took that stick away from her, she FLINCHED (big time!) as if she thought he was going to hit her with it. Did anyone else notice this?

Also, on a lighter note, wasn't that the wood-clad, sub-zero, mold-infested fridge in the background when Jon was in the basement searching for coats...?

Yep, I watched the episode. She was hitting all the other kids with the stick. It should have been taken from her. Should he have grabbed it from her? I don't know. Should he have snapped it in half? Yep, I agree 100% with breaking it. Does it mean that Jon beats his kids because Alexis flinched when he grabbed the stick from her? That's a really serious claim. Perhaps she was just surprised that he would grab it from her. I think people are crossing a very fine line when they start bringing up abuse just from watching a half hour television show.

ITA! People need to be very careful how they phrase things like that. Libel is pretty easy to prove (as opposed to slander). People think splashing this and that all over the internet is anonymous, but I'm willing to bet that if something were to happen in "real life" as a result of internet accusations the anonymity would be hacked through PDQ.

I know Kate wasn't really part of this week's episode, but she could have looked a little bit more interested in the show this week, especially now they are producing it. I don't think I saw her smile at all.:confused3

Does anyone know Beth's last name? I saw on the credits last night that Beth Glover(?) is the associate producer? Let me know if I am wrong about that.

Beth Carson (at least that is how she's credited on the book).

it took no time to bring down PennMommy via an IP address.... and that was a fake blogger. LOL

Okay, just my opinion but everyone who is trying to sabotage Jon and Kate through Websites, blogs, etc should just give up now. The Gosselins have clearly won! I say this after seeing the house, reading about their life now (the Website listed a few posts before this one) and the fact that they have at least another season, maybe more ahead of them.

I really think it's a waste of time for people to spend all the time they do trashing or defending this family. They are going about their business being quite successful. I think people would be happier in the long run if they spent their time trying to reach THEIR goals and fulfill THEIR dreams, instead of on Websites like GWOP (both creating and posting), on message boards defending the family, etc. I realize I am posting too but I do not run a Website and I don't think I spend THAT much time reading and posting. But I'll admit even a little is probably too much.

Now, excuse me please while I go fold some laundry. :)

Omg...how long have we been saying that??

Yeah, that is a ridiculous claim, my kid would always cover their butt and flinch when they got in trouble and they almost never, and I do mean never got spanked.

Ok...this may be mean, but I laughed when Joel fell down last night. It was too funny, he was walking and crying and just fell over. It was obvious that he didn't get hurt and if that were one of my kids acting like such a big baby I would have laughed too!! ;)

I saw the flinch and it disturbed me. She recoiled, like a dog would when a hand is raised (if they have been hit). That's just what I saw, I'm not commenting on what he does or doesn't do. But thoughts crossed my mind when I saw the flinch. It's possible that something like a tiny branch off the stick was close to her eye when he grabbed it and that's why she did that. We only know what they show us.

Truthfully, I think it is likely that she flinched because she's used to being hit - by her brothers and sisters. If I were Jon, I would be furious that TLC chose that particular scene to include. It looked awful - it really did. I wonder if J&K have any say at all over what gets shown and what doesn't...?
