TotalSnowWhite .. I'm hoping things are good in your part of Oklahoma .. since you're posting tonight, I'm guessing you're away from the tornadoes?

Tornados seem to stay away from Norman. All kinds of crazy theories, but the surrounding towns can be destroyed (a town about less than ten minutes North of us looked like a war zone about ten years ago) and Norman will get a few sprinkles. We got about an hour of rain and some lightning this evening.

My cousins (about an hour Southwest) had massive hail that killed one car and broke their skylights. Even worse, my mom's aunt is at their house on a machine (just got out of the hospital) and only she and my 7 months preggo cousin were home at the time. Everything turned out ok, though.

I have no idea where I saw the comparison .. but there are pictures on the internet somewhere of octomom before, really before (like high school?) and after, then a split screen with Angelina Jolie. It's a little disconcerting how similar she looks to AJ. I'll have to find the site.

holy cow!!

storms do one of two things here in my part of kentucky .. they split and are worse north and south of here and reorganize again east of here OR they smack us head on, like the ice storm. we're forecast to get a lot of the weather in Oklahoma tomorrow - mostly winds, isolated tornadoes. the trees and power lines can't really handle any more stress. I'm a little worried.

She was asked if she had had plastic surgery and she said no. I really think this woman is just totally delusional. At first she was saying that she wasn't on public assistance, but she's collected disability, food stamps, 1 or 2 of her kids are on medicaid due to developmental problems, and she says she's used student loans to support her family. I'd love to know how that works! DH has been going back to school and his student loans barely cover his tuition, and that's with his employer kicking in tuition reimbursement. And we still have to pay out of pocket for books and fees. Definately no student loan money went to supporting our family!

Hey ya'll! I have to say thanks for a great J&K thread - you guys discuss a lot of different angles and it's really so interesting without being so mean and nasty like other places.

Not much to contribute today...I've got a couple of episodes on DVR (moving) but haven't watched them yet. We watched one on Monday that I'd dvr'd and DS4 heard it and came running up to me and said "I love this show!" so we watched together. Abuot 5 -10 minutes in he looked at me and said "those kids are bad!" Then about another 5 minutes in, he says "that mommy yells too much - she's not nice". I explained that all mommies are different and he should be happy his mommy doesn't yell that much (most of the time!) I honestly can't remember what the espisode was even about but he wasn't loving Kate and her yelling.

Alright...off to plan a Disney trip

I can't believe they are still using the freaking bibs.

This aggravates the crap out of me! I agree with a pp assessment of the high chair issue - I'm hoping that new furniture is on it's way and they are making do with what they have for now. But the bibs - really? I can't imagine they are wearing them at preschool so why, why,why at home? If they're wearing them at home, does it mean they wear them when they're eating out at a restaurant? How else are they going to learn to eat neatly?

Ok...this may be mean, but I laughed when Joel fell down last night. It was too funny, he was walking and crying and just fell over. It was obvious that he didn't get hurt and if that were one of my kids acting like such a big baby I would have laughed too!!

Nope, don't think it's mean at all. That was the laugh out loud moment for DD and I (after realizing Joel wasn't hurt, of course): whine, whine, whine - fall down - whine, whine, whine!

The first thing I noticed when I saw this wack-job was how much she looked liked AJ. The Today show addressed it this morning; of course, she denies having anything done. Quite honestly, I don't know how anyone can take anything this woman says seriously. And calling her delusional is putting it mildly, IMO. Again, I can't spend too much time watching her for fear that my head will explode.

Now back to J&K+8, I enjoyed monday's show because it showed more of the kids. No, I don't think Jon has the same amount of patience as Kate - I've always thought that's been quite obvious for some time now. But I give him credit for dragging them all out of the house for a walk in the woods. I know most dads would have been content w/letting the kids sit and watch tv or play computer games, if that's what they really wanted to do. (btw - LOVED Leah's reaction when he shut the computer off on her!)

And, yes - thought Kate was acting pretty rude and disinterested during the interview segment. Why doesn't she know better by now?
