They also seemed to make it a point to show they were getting a shower but not showing us!

Maybe it was the way they edit the show, but I don't remember Hannah being such a handful before?

She did seem to have a Mady-tude! God love her!!

I think dressing them each in different outfits at school gives them more of a sense of individuality. It will also allow others to see them as individuals and not the 'tups.

Did anyone else notice that they said their preschool is over an hour away? That seems a bit odd to me. IMHO, I would want my kids to try to go to a preschool nearby, so they can hopefully meet kids that will be in their kindergarten.

But I guess if they are moving that probably wouldn't be an issue anyway.

the preschool is connected to their church. the big girls also went to preschool there.

Hey, I'm surprised no one brought up Jon's commercial for the Tonka Bounceback Racer. It's in the Parents magazine gift guide.

The day my husband relizes this we will get along A LOT better! Granted we only have 4 kids, but they are still a lot of work!
Only 4 kids?!?! I applaud you! :thumbsup2 I can barely handle homework with 2 kids! :lmao: And I second your quote up there about the husband..
I also think driving an hour to preschool is a bit crazy for many reasons.
Enough with the bibs already for the kids. Oh but wait.......stain removal.......how could I forget
Still love watching the show, even tho I am critical

When Jon announced the brand name and then they showed a closeup of the product, DD 12 said, oh, they got it for free!!:lmao:
The kids did have a lot of fun with it though!!

Thanks! I think that is why I watch the show. It's just as crazy at my house and it kind of helps me keep perspective. I would love to have half the help Kate has, I do have half the kids :rotfl2:

The blatant commercials don't bether me that much. Those RC cars look pretty cool. Might be under our tree for DS5 and DS2.5 (cuz if DD5 has one DS2.5 must have one too).

It definately looked liked there were no other kids at the preschool. Maybe they did film on a non school day. That was the first thing I noticed, that they weren't dressed a like. I think it's a good thing to give them individuality. My DS's preschool class has a set of twin girls and they are always dressed alike. They aren't identical twins but I think the teachers would have an easier time separating them if they were dressed different.

Some thoughts about last night:
I realized in the last few episodes how expressive Leah is. I loved her "I didn't do very well" comment after she couldn't ride the two wheeler. Poor baby.

Kate said something about Hannah on one episode when Hannah was answering her and doing that head bop thing (the little attitude thing). Kate said, "We shake our heads when we talk now that we're 4"

What was up with the way they parked the vans when the kids were in the driveway playing? I wonder if it had something to do with giving them some privacy. They let the kids ride their bikes in the street, so I'm guessing that there's not much traffic on their street. It was weird.

I liked seeing Jon roughhouse with the boys and play with all the kids. Contrary to what I've read elsewhere, those kids sure look happy to me. And they seemed sincere in the video they made for Kate when she was gone.

Oh, gosh!! That video was so sweet!!

I thought maybe they moved the cars so they would have more room for the ::announcer voice:: Tonka Bounceback Racers. I heard her say to park them sideways. I imagine the Sprinter would take up quite a bit of space in the street.

I wasn't sure what was up with it ... but I had a couple of theories ...

~ parking the van sideways would serve as a visual barrier with the kids & the street. they'd know where to stop with the bikes/toys

That video was adorable! They sure look happy to me!!

Didn't Jon say, Kate, got the kids the new racers?

That's the first thought that came in to my mind also - park the cars sideways to serve as a barrier so the kids didn't steer the cars into the street. Makes perfect sense to me!

Oh - and that Leah - sooo cute!:cutie: As pp mentioned, her "I didn't do very well" comment - too much! Kate has always mentioned that Leah was the one who spoke the best out of all the sextuplets. I thought it was a very mature phrase for a 4yr.old to utter.

I was laughing so hard when, Jon said he would have let the girls buy there lunchs at school. Kate like No I was just at a brown bag campaign

I agree. And it seems like the likely reason ... but, with the whole "keep out" sign deal from back in the summer, I can't help but think that Jon & Kate are mindful of the nosey-bodies, as well.

Who knows? We could all be wrong. :rotfl:

Don't know about them and parking cars sideways, but when we have our kids at my Mothers we park ours right in front of her drive way along the front so that when they play in the driveway that their balls don't go out in the street or so that no one pulls in while they are playing. Just a thought.

By the way, loved the show. The kids had a blast with their Dad outside. I love seeing kids laugh like that.

We park like this at home too. It keeps the kids from going in the street as well as trapping balls, etc. I didn't see the episode (yet!) so I'm not sure if this is the same as what J+K did.

I haven't been reading the thread too much lately but I had a question that was maybe mentioned already. So is it true that Jon and Kate only work for their show now? Jon doesn't work outside the home? Is it true that the show is helping them buy their new house? I was just wondering what would happen if the show is ever cancelled. Would they still get to keep the house? Will Jon go back to work somewhere? I'm sure they have something set. Does anyone know?
