I'm guessing most people would think it is logical for the twins to have their own rooms, the 3 girl tups in a room and the 3 boy tups in a room. They custom ordered the bunks w/ trundles, etc. The twins being the oldest and being tweens before you know it, this would be a fair first choice to me. I guess some kids don't do well sharing rooms with specific siblings, so who knows except for them. It looked like the twins shared room has access only by its own staircase.? I don't think I'd like that. I thought they said there are five bedrooms, like the old house, but I'm not sure. My kids would CROAK if younger siblings had their own rooms and older sibs shared :crazy2: despite the fact they actually never ask(ed) to sleep alone until at least middle school. It's a good thing with 4 bedrooms and 7 people! Some may not see it as Hannah "getting" her own room, but her having to sleep in her own room! The others all have a buddy. Who's living in the apartment over the garage?!

.

Maybe the twins like sharing a room. I'm sure you'd hear protests from either of them if they didn't.

The boys are; right?

Absolutely! I was really thinking Jon? Kate? the in-laws (not)? the pool boy? :wave2:

I honestly only watched 15 minutes of the episode, so I have no idea if the 3 boys are in one room. Are they? Maybe they will be split up when they are bigger?

As I said, we really don't know everything. And Kate doesn't have to explain or show anything she doesn't want to.

The only reason Mady or any of the other kids are going to be able to find negative things about themselves on google or anywhere else, is because of the nutjobs that think that they are going to "save" the Gosselin children.

I've noticed a very big hatred on many of these sites (not here) towards Hannah. Negative comments and all.

I think the way the footage is edited, shown and replayed, youtubed, etc. may come back to haunt them. Interview footage as well as actual behavior.

I'm glad I haven't seen the hatred or disdain directed toward the kids; completly inappropriate. I know there is plenty toward the parents, and even that is sad. NO kid wants to read bad stuff, hear bad stuff, or be teased about their parents. They love them.

You're softening!!

It was never explained why Beth or Bob are not shown anymore on the show.
Other's have posted that it had to do with money issues.
Who the show wanted to pay.
I have no clue.

But I was watching the Biography of Jennifer Anniston on E.
When the show "Friends" started, she made $20,000 an episode.
I know they say it is really cheap to have a Reality Show and that is why their are so many Reality Shows.
But, it would be interesting to find out how much each person earns.
Or do you think the "family" is all paid one sum.

Jon mentioned in the Utah interview that they just didn't want to be on TV anymore. Of course, I'm sure someone will come along and say he was lying. :confused3

Didn't the Friends cast end up making tens of millions (or more!!) per episode towards the end?

I clicked on the Jon interview, and I was hoping it would be text, but it was video. I don't have speakers at work.

I don't know what the Friends cast was making in the end. My dh flipped the channel. I remember hearing Jennifer was estatic with making $20,000 an episode in 1994. But it does seem odd, I remember everyone was amazed how Larry Hagman from "Dallas" was making a million an episode when Dallas ended in 1992.

All six Friends were making a million each per episode during the last season.

It makes me sick how people would even consider to think it's ok to say such negative things about Mady, Hannah or any child.

Be mean to Jon and/or Kate all you want but ffs, leave the kids alone.

:sad2: :sad2: What has the world come to?

Unfortunately thats the price you pay when you put your family on reality tv, which is why people right or wrong are critical of this family.

Exactly. It may be the haters and bashers that are saying the things, but the parents are providing the opportunity by putting the kids out there. They seem to feel it is worth it and that the benefits outweigh the risks. I sincerely hope they are right. I hope to see a Growing Up Gosselin book or special someday full of happy memories of the travel and opportunities provided by the show:goodvibes

I guess Kate has a book out already and another one that she just completed. I do remember her saying that last week, when Jon and her answered questions from readers.

Some others were questioning why Kate looked different. Jon said, they were on diets and Kate eats like a "bird", and she said "salad". Jon said, "bird food."

I must admit though. I did question the explanation of Hannah getting migraines. At 4 years old? Who knows? They don't have to tell us everything I guess.

DS10 has been having severe migraines since he was 3 years old, so it does happen. Having his own room is better for him so he always has a quiet place to lie down when he has one. I can't believe I'm defending Kate. Has hell frozen over?

I was thinking the migraines were strange in a small child too, but then I remembered a boy in my DD's kindergarten class who got bad migraines. I honestly wish it were favoritism for Hannah rather than migraines because as a migraine sufferer I wouldn't wish them on anyone, especially a 4 year old girl with 7 loud siblings.

I had a friend who had a son that was very premature...he struggled with migraines. His pedi said they were "unexplained" but that he would probably outgrow them. He did.

I've only been on and off with the boards--so busy at school. Has anyone read the book?? I just finished. Kate is not a great writer and it wasn't a "tell all." But I was struck by how much she focused on Jon throughout. She never mentioned that she was working two 12-hour nursing shifts a week.

I haven't read the book yet, but I thought that Beth was the one that actually wrote the book. I have no idea where I heard that, but I swear I did...

Yes, I'm almost positive that you're correct. I'm almost 100% sure that Beth actually wrote the book about the family. I think Kate is writing the next two though.

Yes I remember reading something where Beth said "I wrote it and they lived it."

Wasn't there a link, on this thread I believe, to an article in a newspaper in their local area that interviewed Beth? I remember reading that quote also.
