I have to say that I've gotten a very bad vibe off of kate with the kids lately. The tups, especially Joel and Aaden, do not act like they are four and half years old. They were both needing wiped, which at their age, they should be doing themselves, and kate seemed more concerned about her moldy sub zero fridge than caring for her kids. Mady has some severe behavoral issues. I can see how angry she is and it's sad.

i tuned into the house episode, hoping to see some gratitude and humility from the Gosselins about their new "home' and instead had to listen to kate going on about how dirty the "house' was. To add insult to injury, this episode was aired on a day that 80,000 people were layed off jobs all over America. Kate's grand proclamation of, "this is all mine as far as the eye can see" has really put a bad taste in my mouth, sounding like shades of "let them eat cake"

Don't even get me started about the no going into mom's and dad's room rule.

I used to watch Jon and kate and I would really enjoy watching the kids, but now, I'm starting to feel like i need a shower after each episode to wash off the icky feeling.

I agree with you that parents need privacy, but kids need privacy too. My DD is 2.5 and is newly potty trained. She asks us to leave the bathroom when she goes because she wants her privacy. I don't want someone watching me go to the bathroom, so I leave. I stand around the corner to make sure she is okay, but I'm out of eye sight.

Everyone deserves that, no matter the age. Your home should be your safe haven.

I watched an old show the other day when the kids were my daughters age, and I really enjoyed it. Kate was somewhat normal and the show focused on the kids.

Now, I just can't watch anymore. Worrying about cleaning a fridge instead of helping your child...that is just wrong. They should be taking care of them selves in the bathroom at that age anyway. What do they do at preschool or what are they going to do next year at school?!

Thanks, I did not know that!! We were just there this past summer. I would have been one of the "crazies" driving past their house, just to say I saw it. LOL! (I like the show, but my girls are OBSESSED with it! LOL!)

I am not a Jon & Kate hater or lover, I find the show entertaining and I have opinions both negative and positive but I found some people's comments quite harsh this week.

No offense, I was watching last night. And i can't help but notice that there is something really off with a few of the tups.
Now, it's been a few months since i've seen a new episode, but it seems like Aaden and Joel are a bit delayed.

I think it's a little dramatic to say that the boys are delayed after watching them for 5-10 minutes a week. Not every kid progresses at the same rate.

I personally believe their will be long term repercussions from their show and that the kids have some behavioral issues with hurting each other. I don't think it is normal for siblings to contantly hit each other.

I don't see them "constantly" hurting each other. There are 8 kids living (up until now) in very cramped quarters, there are bound to be squabbles.

Actually the house is VERY close to the road. You can see in the garage and in the windows. Which is exactly what Kate wants and why she moved back to an area that HATES them. She moved back to the Reading area so she can SHOW OFF in front of all the people she feels have wronged her. But no one has wronged her, she was a nasty self absorbed drama queen who treated (and still treats) everyone like crap.

Including her children and hubby...

A nurses salary and a 50K a year IT Job will not be able to pay for the upkeep of that house! Its $7,929.00 a month in mortgage alone.

I finally watched the episode last night. Kate is ridiculous, I kept saying "she's such a witch" (but maybe the word I used started with a b!). The way she spoke to Jon was terrible. And I find it very strange the kids aren't invited in their room. I'm sure little Hannah will be allowed in occasionally, they seem to favor her for some reason. I was hoping Mady would be punished for her treatment of Alexis, but all Kate said was " well you shouldn't go in her room". Um, no that's the wrong answer Kate!

I will say I'm surprised they didn't just hire a crew to clean the house. But I suppose it wouldn't be up to her standards.

I really should stop watching this show, but now it's train wreck and I can't look away!

I read this "jealousy" accusation a lot. What would people be jealous of? Are you referring to the stuff they have? I know a lot of people with stuff, I'd sometimes like to have more stuff, but at what price? I don't hate the show or the family. I don't know them. I am amazed at their apparent lack of logic and parental warmth. Like most people on this thread, I only see what is chosen to be shown to me. Why does Kate allow herself and her family to be portrayed this way if it is in fact their worst? When a poster comes along like "the one whose name shall not be spoken", what would the motive be other than to "out a fraud?" Americans are very protective of kids and dogs; don't mess with either! Do you think they don't have close proximity to the family? I know it is offensive to be told you are clueless, blind, uninformed, or whatever. Maybe they are sharing real information in an intrusive way at a place where it isn't welcomed. I have to ask the question that has been asked over and over and over again. Where are the real people who love the Gosselin family?

Nope, not dramatic. My son was delayed and those boys look and act like he did. I speak from experience.
