We will probably go in Sept. Membership for AAA will cost 45 or 55, but will probably save about 20% on my room only ressies. I already have an AP. Would you join AAA to get the room discount or hold out for AP or other room codes? Are there any other Disney related AAA benefits?
I always get any park hopper passes that's needed there as well. They always have discounted hopper passes...Sea World Passes too. I can't quote you an amount because I'm not at home...babysitting my knew grandbaby tonight...I always babysit on NYE.
Plus, AAA is just darn handy to have if you have any sort of car trouble. Lock yourself out of the car, flat tire, need a tow....just call them and they'll help for free. I also got a discount on my eyeglasses with it too. The AAA discount was better than the insurance I had through work. Lots of other discounts too, just look over the paperwork they send you and don't forget to take advantage of the perks.
There were no annual pass rates released for this past September, first of all. Second of all, you don't mention how long you're staying, or at which resort, but for my honeymoon, it's a substanstial savings that MORE than pays for itself.
For me, the savings on one night at the Beach club is about $50.
And as Jennymouse said, the other perks you get are great. All kinds of admission to local places at discount rates, as well as discount Orlando admission. And the help with cars! I had an unexpected flat tire (who expects one, anyway?!) in our frigid Buffalo winter. AAA came within 45 minutes, and changed the tire for me for free.
