On another thread one of the posters said they had a friend who wasn't allowed to bring a jogger into the parks.

Has anyone else had this happen?

I would hate to bring my single jogger down from long island, only to be told by a CM that it wasn't allowed in.

This might depend on how crowded the parks are on any particular day, so if you're going during one of the more popular times you might want to reconsider bringing it. I do know I have seen many, many jogging strollers there so I know that they do allow them in. I think they may just not allow them in if they know they're going to be having a high capacity day. My understanding is that if they won't allow it but they will give you a free rental stroller for the day. Also, if your jogger doesn't have a fixed front wheel that might also make a difference, although I'm not sure about that.

hth!

Just wanted to say Hi since I lived in Hicksville and my husband grew up their.
Do they still have the labor day races??
:wave2:

We were there Memorial Day Weekend (SUPER crowded, especially this year) and they did not deny us use of our double jogger. However, I've read that it has more to do with whether your front wheel swivels (ours does); if it is crowded and the front wheel doesn't have a swivel option, I've heard they MIGHT deny you use of your jogger. They will store it for you and give you a rental for free, so I hear.

Will you be using disney bus transporation? Just as a side note, on our last trip (Jan) a family got on our bus at the Poly with a jogger stroller which either didn't fold or they didn't want to fold. The bus driver said he would allow it this time since the bus was not crowded at all but he did warn the family that if the bus was crowded they may not be able to take the jogger on other buses. The stroller was one of the those really big jogger strollers with the fixed front wheel.

I emailed disney about this last year and their official policy is that they reserve the right to deny entry to fixed front wheel jogging strollers. They did say that it is rare they have ever done that but it can and does happen especially when the park is near capacity. In case this were to happen they would store your stroller for you and give you a free rental stroller. Also, if your stroller does not fold the busses can deny you entry. The policy there is that only folded strollers can go onto busses unless they are used as wheelchairs in which case they are treated like wheelchairs.

Anyhow, this is the answer I received last october. Now...who knows :confused3

We have never used a jogging strollar- and certainly not to tell anyone not to use one, but they DO take up a tremendous amount of space and they are slightly harder to collapse. I have seen people cram their jogging strollars unfolded onto the monorails which are packed- displacing several riders (don't get me wrong- strollars should be folded up too!). They are harder to maneuver in the parks when it is crowded. They hurt alot more when someone accidentally runs them up the back of your foot.

Again- I would never say to someone don't do it but if you ahve another option it is worth considering- especially if you are relying on disney transportation- in particular the buses, or small launches. :rolleyes1
