Joey Fatone will be cruisin soon!

I heard Joey Fatone on local radio this morning. He said that whatever happens with Dancing with the Stars he's OK with because he's looking forward to going on a Disney Cruise with his family. So somebody is going to be sailing with a celebrity!

One of the members of the NSync pop boy band which has broken up. He's currently one of the competitors on 'Dancing with the Stars' show. Doing very well. I like them all, no favorites. Hopes he and his family enjoys their cruise. He's going to be recognized by alot of people.

I mentioned this on another thread as well....he was on the Panama Canal cruise in 2005 while we were onboard and everytime we saw him he was a gentleman...he was with his wife.

He even participated in the theme nights and deck parties onboard...pics below!!!

On the EB Repo in August 2005 he was on the ship for several days (not all) and he hosted the "Who Wants To Be A Mousekateer" show. There was one contestant that was so clueless (or nervous) and wasn't going to answer the FIRST question correctly ("Final Answer"!). Joey was saying "Sorry and thanks for playing" when one of the crew said that he could "help them out on the first questions".

Joey said that no one ever told him that. From that point on he was really "silly" in giving out clues / hints for everyone else on the first couple of questions. I loved his "Brittney Spears" hint by pretending to be pregnant - boy could he stick his gut out really showing us Joey "Fat - one".

Family values? The character he played in My Big Fat Greek Wedding didn't exactly portray family values. I would quote some of the lines, but it WOULD be moderated by the board. His character reminded me of my uncles when I was little; Always pushing the envelope of etiquette at family functions.

I know you must have been playing because you are a west bounder and they are great people. .......My point was that I personally am embarrased that as a community we are insulting others who may be a part of our community and are not deserving of being called names most especially by someone who has 2 posts on the DIS. If you want to insult others there are other communities that love doing that and I am sure most of us could direct you to where you could find that sort of negativity.......Guidewire.

Of course not, I'm saying his work does not always portray "family" friendly. You misunderstood my post. I don't purport to know him as an individual, only as an entertainer. I'm sure while he is 'working' for Disney on the cruise, he's work would most likely be family friendly. As I said in my post above, I enjoy his work, both family friendly and not so family friendly. I think he's a very talented celebrity.

Ouch...harsh.....obviously you have not seen him recently on Dancing with the Stars.....he has dropped about 30 lbs. and looks great....plus he is one heck of a dancer!!!

Someone posted about Joey Fatone's weight (not even very insulting considering he makes fun of himself and is a pretty funny guy with comedic skills) and poof!!! the post disappears along with most references to it.

Come on DIS! He's a grown man who can take care of himself and is obviously confident. So why the censorship? Was it rude to comment on his weight... yes
was it necessary to delete any reference to it... no that's just scary.

The post in question was deleted by a moderator because it went against one of the site guidelines.

3. NO FIGHTING/SARCASM: While we'd like to think that a Disney fan site is always lighthearted, there are times when there are disagreements. Let's face it, there are certain topics that can transform any of us into a raging "Donald Duck." When you sense this is happening, we ask that you step away from the discussion before it escalates into a fight. Just like Mom always said about fighting, we don't care who started the argument and we don't want it on the DIS. (Okay, she didn't say the part about the DIS, but you know what we mean.) No attacking others and no sarcasm please. Either will result in an infraction.

The comment was rude and sarcastic which is why it was deleted.

Thanks for answering although I'm really surprised at how strict and subjective that type of censorship can be...
So next time someone gets insulting about other cruise lines I'll be sure to let you know.

I know it is hard to moderate especially when you are dealing with emails... (not in the Joey Fatone case) but sometimes things can come off as sarcastic that really weren't meant to be.
