Joes Crab Shack?

Yep! Landry's will eventually own every place that serves food! :rotfl2:
We have the full gamet- 24 total Landry's establishments here in SAn Antonio. They are takiing over the Riverwalk!! We have a little animosity towards Tilman Fertitta and his restaurants. So maybe I'm a little biased about Joe's :rolleyes1

LOL I hear that, but in my case it might be good. Do you know if Joe's accepts Landry's gift cards? I get them thru a rewards program I do.

Yes they do have a play area but we never saw dirty kids running around in fact we never saw any kids playing there at all. The place is dark inside but that is the decor they are going for and they do seat people at picnic tables in the middle of the room but they have booths around the outside. The do a lot of dancing and singing but that is what makes it fun. If your looking for quietness and romance I would probably pass but I think it is a good place to eat and I personally would go there on a date. Give it a try, especially if you like seafood and not so run of the mill.

They do have a play area?? Where is it? LOL

My family loves Joe's.We ate at the one in Garden Grove last December. It is my favorite Joe's of the 2 :lmao: I have been to.

If my memory serves me correctly...the play area is to the right after you enter, and it is outside.

Well we were there back a few years ago and it was located on the side of the building, not at the front but the side. My kid actually played on it so I know it was there but maybe since we were there it has been moved but it was there at one time. :confused3 LOL

And we here got nothing !! no laundrys eateries, nothing. UGH I have to go to Disneyland to go to rainforest :lmao:

Hey Pixie, they do take Landry's cards as does Rainforest, Cadilac Bar, Saltgrass.... andy Landry's place. We just got back from a week in Galveston, Texas. Landry's owns half of the stuff there. So we stocked up on gift cards to help budget. They sell them at our grocery store with no surcharge. So I picked up $25 a week until we had about $500. We used them ALL. Thanks Rainforest and Aquarium (which is like RFC but it's an aquarium)
Have fun with those free cards!!!

Well, my girls probably won't play in it but that's good to know. LOL If it's off to the side that would be why I never noticed it before, we generally park right in front of the restaurant. :)

That's great to know, I never realized Joe's was a Landry's and I get those rewards cards pretty fast! LOL Woo Hoo!!!! Another reason to get them! :) We only eat there or at RFC when we are in DL but it's always nice to get a mostly free meal when we are there. :)

Our Sacramento location is no longer accepts the RFC Safari Card, but their BBQ crab is pretty good.

Personally? I can't stand Joe's Crab Shack. There are many good, locally owned places to eat seafood in Southern California, and I'd prefer not to eat frozen, heat-lamped corporate-owned chain food, if at all possible!

When we signed up for our Safari card in February, waiter told us it would only give a 10% off at RFCs. But by presenting it at other Landry's locations would still accumulate "point" towards possible additional coupons in the future. When we were in Galveston the last week of July we received 10% at Saltgrass, Willie G's, RFC and the Aquarium. My parents just got 10% at the Glaveston's Jor's last night. Maybe they are phasing it out?

All but twenty JCS eateries were sold to JCS Holdings, LLC. in 2006. Could not find out what twenty they were.

DH just reminded me of that. There were 23 actually. Sometimes we Texans assume our usualy resolution "The world as it is in Texas"! :rotfl2:
I think they are in the Texas area as Landry's main offices are in Houston. But as Joe's is in the Entertainment Book, the coupons are valid at all locations as are the gift cards. That was part of the licensing agreement.

I only use my Safari Club card at RFC, I was asking about gift cards because I get free gift cards as rewards. It would be great if I could use Landry's gift cards there. If not it's no biggie tho, I'll just ask next time I'm there. :)

I a currently looking at the back of a Landry's gift card I bought on Friday. It says it's good at Joes

Joe's Crab Shack in Sacramento used to give us the 10% discount with the RFC Safari card and priority seating, but it discontinued. I miss the priority seating the most since they don't take reservation for groups under 15.
