Joelyfaithsmommy's Journal to Freedom! (Comments Very Welcome!)

Hi Jen!

Great job! Your efforts are paying off and the scale is moving for you! That is excellent. I hope that you are having a great weekend and getting that walking in like you planned. :goodvibes

Bye for now!

just popping in to say today I could tell a noticable difference in the mirror...a shirt that i once MORE THAN filled out, is now very loose, and baggy, and my stomache is not protruding like it did....WONDERFUL!!! :)

I'm with ya! That is very cool that you can see changes in your clothes. Sometimes it is how things fit that tells us more about our progress than the scale! :goodvibes

Have a happy & healthy Sunday night!
Mike :cool1:

I'm with ya!

Great news on feeling the weight loss in your clothes. Like Mike said, sometime it is how they fit rather than the scale.

Congratulations!!!!

Have a great day!

Hi, Jen! How are you doing this gorgeous Monday morning? It is going to be 95 very sunny degrees here today, and I was thinking about you "swimming" -- wish we all could be burning off calories in a pool rather than sitting at our desks!

Did you have a fabulous weekend? [I think I am avoiding my journal because I am going to have to 'fess up about being completely corrupted!]

Have a great day!

ok, how was my weekend?? well it was a TOTAL failure where walking was concerned...i didn't get to walk even one day that i wanted to, and that's a bummer! :(, however i did eat well through 2 different 'pitch in' scenerios...and hubby and i have made some decisions for our family...we are no longer going to buy/fix red meat at our home period., we are also not going to buy soda anymore for the kids...we dont' expect the kids to never eat red meat, however, we feel like they will have the opportunity to eat it at their grandparents, when we go out to dinner, etc....so i'm not buying it anymore for home, and gator and i are NOT eating red meat anymore at all. :goodvibes

we also discussed how much exercise needed to be a priority in our lives, because up til now it's been a "when we have time" kinda thing...so we are going to buy a tread mill before winter, and i'm getting a stationary bike as well....and we are going to make it a priority to get a minimum of 1 mile walk and or 30-60 minutes of other exercise in per day...and we hope to increase that as time goes on, and we have more energy and less fat to deal with :)

gator is steady at 25# lost, I have lost 21 lbs...but we are approaching our 2 month mark, and both of us should have lost more...we feel like we haven't done much in the past three weeks that moved us toward our goal like we should...so we are committing to these things....and we hope that by Aug. 19th we will see TREMENDOUS benefits to our health, our size, and our attitudes!!! :) YAY US!!! :cool1:

OK, now for my breakfast report:

2 strawberry cereal bars, water

for lunch i'm going to do a salad, and walk...ON TO A THINNER, HEALTHIER, HAPPIER ME!!! :cheer2: ya  rah :cool1: me!!! :Pinkbounc

also hope to catch up on journals today! :)
hugs,
Jen

Morning Jen, I just wanted to stop by and see how your weekend went. It is hard to make exercise a priority. I speak with the voice of experience. I also know that it takes 3 weeks to make a habit. Stick with it!

Just because you didn't walk does not mean anything. Sure you should do it but more IMPORTANT things came up. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Look on the brighter side of things you see a big difference in the clothes that you are wearing so that should put a bigger smile on your face. smiles kardiebelle

wooooo whooooo i just walked 1.5 miles in 26 minutes...that is pretty good I think. I did the mile in 18 minutes, and decided to go another 1/2 mile...which only took me 8 minutes...YAYAYAYA~~~~ :cool1: DOIN' THE "i'm so happy i walked so fast" dance lol...

well i'm sure many of you can beat that time no problem, but for still weighing over 250...(well over) I feel Like i did pretty darn good!!! and i feel great after the walk too!!! :teeth:

now eating a salad with ff italian dressing for lunch, along with an orange, a lf yogurt, and a c of ff cottage cheese.

EDITED TO SAY: lunch was 3/4 small salad with ff italian, 1 lf yogurt, 1/4 orange, 3/4 c cottage cheese (fat free of course) and 1/2 tbsp lf peanut butter :)

drinking water!!! :teeth:

EXERCISE.....CHECK!!! ;)

HUGS,
jEN

Jen- Today's the first day in about a month that I've checked your journal and WOW! you are doing an awesome job! I haven't gone back to read yet, but I will. Just wanted to say Way to GO!!

Hi Jen,

No walking?? Did you say NO WALKING??? well I never... I am never speaking to you again! This is unbelievable!!!! ;)
hehe! Just kidding!!!

You are doing swimmingly of course! No beating yourself up! You and the Gator man are doing excellent, you each have lost 20lbs you will never see again! I think that is worthy of a cheer! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
And I love the no soda decision too! You are right, they will be exposed to all of those things elsewhere, better to build healthier habits at home that they can carry with them. That is cool! :cool1:

1.5 miles in 26min! Now that rocks! You'll walk your way to Disney by the time you are done! :goodvibes

Have a happy & healthy monday!
Mike

Wow, Jen! You are doing such an awesome job! That pace for your 1.5 miles is terrific! You must have been hustling!

It looks like your food choices have been pretty terrific, too. What, no snacks at all during the day? How do you stay so disciplined between meals? Actually, I have heard that it is good to do small snacks between meals to keep my metabolism up. So, that's my story and I'm sticking to it! :)

Keep up the great work, sweetie! You are doing "swimmingly"!! ;)

well normally i would cam...yesterday i didn't ....today i probably will....if im hungry i do, if i'm not, i forget, which is probably ok too :)

i am trying to keep protien in my diet at at least 2 of 3 meals so i dont get so hungry in between :)

i'm ready to bust out of these ..70's...and into the 60's...8 LBS TO GO!!! :teeth: I'm going to work so hard this week and hope that I'm close to the 60's by this time next week!!! :teeth: I am really itching to see some more results!!!

:Pinkbounc  :Pinkbounc  :Pinkbounc

ok, off to read some journals! :)

Good morning!

Nice job yesterday! You can do this Jen! What do you have to remember now? J :fish: K :fish: S!!!! :fish:

Jen, You are doing SO INCREDIBLY AWESOME!!

I just read thru to catch up where I left off. With everything going on in your life you have really done well.

Hopefully the work weeks away from your family will go quickly. We've done that before and it's not particularly fun!

Hang in there. You CAN do this!

i just walked 1.5 miles in 26 minutes AGAIN (second day in a row) I BEAT THE RAIN :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: and my exercise for today is a thing of the past!!! :) YAY ME!!! GO JEN....KEEP SWIMMING!!! :fish: sorry, just had to encourage myself!!! ;) lol
