Jodi's bridal journal (posts welcome) - I'm back!

Wow - I can't believe that it is already December but the month is starting off on a positive note. Today, I had my review at work and I will be getting a raise although I'm not sure how much yet but it will be between 3 and 5%.....I was told it is on the upper scale. :cheer2: I always hate review time - Eventhough I do my best....I always expect the worst.

Got home tonight and I got my cookbook from the Broadway play "Wicked" - what a great surprise! I haven't checked any of the recipes yet but I am so glad to have it. :cloud9:

Today, I also won tickets for me and my fiance to go and see wrestling at Madison Square Garden this coming Sunday...While we are there we are also going to check out the tree at Rockefeller Center!

Now, if I could only jump on the scale on Saturday and have lost the 6 pounds that I gained that would be the best! :D Wish me luck!

Taking a break from the gym tonight but I am going tomorrow! :D

Wow - was today ever busy....Everyone wanted my help! Whew....but I was able to finish everything that I was suppossed to - I really hope tomorrow is a light work-flow day because I have been running all week long. I really doubt that will happen though - One of the girls that works in the department that I have been sitting with (I'm an administrative floater) is pregnant and I swear I know she isn't coming in tomorrow....She is ready! Then on top of that the group that I was with before this one is still asking me to do things which they are suppossed to because I am still covering them also but then they are one admin short up there, so I am also being asked to cover some of her things too! Wow- it felt like I sat down and then it was time to come home.....very good thing.

Still haven't gotten my engagement pictures - the photographer is cutting it kind of close.....We really want to give pictures to our parents for the holidays. I hope she gets them to us in time.

Well, tonight I am going to the gym, so I will be giving an update.

I'm late posting this update but I did workout and wanted to add it (it's now December 4th):
Stairmaster - 15 minutes, manual setting, difficutly 6
Arc Trainer - 15 minutes, weight loss setting, difficulty 4
Crossramp- 15 minutes, glut setting, difficulty 2
Plate Loaded Squat - 230 pounds, 12 reps, 3 sets
Calf raises - 70 pounds, 12 reps, 3 sets
Prone leg curl - 45 pounds, 3 sets, 12 reps.

That's it for the Evening of December 2, 2004.

Things sound so busy for you! The holidays certainly can be hectic! I hope you get your engagement pics soon! I know you would like the change to look them over before giving them as gifts to your parents. Great idea, by the way. :)

December looks like a great month for you! A great start!! Here's some :wizard: for those 6 pounds disappearing!! :)

Thanks Terry, I really do hope that those 6 pounds have disappeared but I don't know how acurate the measurements will be today.....I just got TOM and I feel me fatest. Oh well, I've tried hard this week and everyone is really giving me a hard time saying that I am skinny (they think that I am crazy)....but hey I am doing this for me. :)
 
Well, I was really looking forward to the personal trainer session today but now, I'm not! I just got TOM today and not feeling my best but I'm still going and hoping for the best.....I think that I've done really good during the week on the diet - I could have done better in the gym but I am just trying to get back to speed with the gym.

I am so dissappointed in myself - first with the weight gain while I was in school then I start to loose and really see results and then October happens where I just kind of let go.....We just had so much planned. I hope December isn't a waste. At first this diet was killing me but now, I am getting a little used to it. The only thing is I am running out of the shake and nutrition bars for the diet. ***Please God, let me get through December with no temptation***

Worst of all not only is the holidays but my birthday is approaching ----I only say that because not only do I have to worry about the holiday parties but I will have at least three birthday parties of mine to go to: I will have one at work, one at my DF's house, one with my family, oh and then there might be another party which would be my DF bringing me out to dinner. Uuuuhhhh.....Just shoot me :)

Well, I will do my best to update about the gym today ---If not today I will get everyone up-to-date on Monday.

Gym Update
Great News!!! Went to the gym and I lost 7 pounds :cheer2: I went back down in body fat too! No looking back now - I intend to look my best at my wedding.....I can't wait to have Bob see me in my gown - although, he knows my taste and has probably already figured out which dress is mine - it's so strange he knows me so well!

Today we did-
Push ups (30 reps - in sets of ten - using a balance ball to make it even harder)
Barbell bench press - no weight on this one; the bar itself weighs 45 pounds
Incline press - 12.5 pounds, 10 reps, 3 sets
Crossovers - 10 pounds, 10 reps, 3 sets
Wide Chest press - 30 pounds, 10 reps, 3 sets
That's it - we also went over how to make this diet work and get nice meals together so I don't feel deprived. Wish me luck......I have a lot of work to do yet! :rolleyes:

Still doing well with the diet and I have been keeping up with the gym.....I didn't get to post until now for this week, so I will give an overview -

Tuesday night:
Stairmaster - Manual setting, difficulty 7, 20 minutes
Arc Trainer - Weight Loss setting, difficulty 4, 15 minutes,
Crossramp - Glut settting, 15 minutes, difficulty 1​


Tonight's workout (Thursday):
Stairmaster - 15 minutes, manual setting, difficulty 6
Arc Trainer - Weight loss setting, 15 minutes, difficulty 4
Crossramp - Glut setting, 15 minutes, difficulty 4
Prone Leg Curl - 45 pounds, 3 sets, 12 reps
Plate Loaded Squat Lift - 180 pounds, 3 sets, 12 reps
Squats - 12 reps, 3 sets, 30 pounds
Calf rasies - 35 pounds, 12 reps, 1 set
Calf raises - 40 pounds, 12 reps, 2 sets....
That's it!!! - God, I hope I see results soon!! 7 pounds is okay but I want more ;)

Hopefully, I will be back tomorrow night - If not have a great weekend everyone!!! :wave:

Thanks for sharing the link. I didn't know Herbalife had a diet program. Do you use the supplements and shakes as well? Congrats on finding a plan that can work for you! That's the hardest part, IMO.

Keep working out - the results are there! - and you are doing great!

Any news on those engagement pics yet?

Right now - I am just doing the shakes not the supplements. What you take depends on the goals that you have and how much you really want to trim off. My trainer suggested that I use the shakes, so I have been taking two shakes a day, two snacks, and one dinner (It sounds a lot worse than it is).

No news on the engagement pics - I'm really sorry that we went with the person that we went with.

Wow, am I ever sore today! My bum is really sore (a good sore) from the workout on Thursday. Last night I went to the gym and worked on my upper body (It is pretty amazing - I can feel myself getting stronger).

Last night's workout:
Stairmaster - 15 minutes, manual setting, difficulty 5
Arc Trainer - Weight loss settting, 15 minutes,diff - 4
Crossramp - Glut setting, 15 minutes, difficulty 1
Pushups (on half balance ball) 10 reps, 3 sets
Wide chest press - 40 lbs, 10 reps, 3 sets
Incline press- 12.5 pounds, 10 reps, 3 sets
Bar bell bench press - No weight (the bar itself is 40 or 45 pounds), 10 reps, 3 sets
Lat pulldown (underhand) - 45 pounds, 10 reps @ 1 set, 50 pounds, 10 reps @ 2 sets
Longpull - 40 pounds, 3 sets, 10 reps
Tricep kick back - 10 lbs, 7.5 pounds, and 5 pounds - 3 sets ideally going for 10 reps per each set (working the muscle just until the muscle gets tired).​
That's it!

I am looking forward to seeing the results that all of this working out will bring - I just hope I don't gain tons of weight.....My muscles tend to build fast which always brings weight gain......I know it's muscle gain and I should be glad that it is muscle and not flab, but I want it all. I want to be firm, trim inches, fat, and weight!

I can't wait to see everyone's reaction to me in my gown :cloud9: I love it so much!! I couldn't have dreamed up a better gown - it is like it was made for me. It was funny the reaction that I got at the bridal salon too - everyone was like that is the dress and I tried on quite a few. My gown is not white (my fiance doesn't know anything about the dress but the fact that it is not white and is really upset) - It's Ivory (off-white). Oh it was so funny, a couple weeks back we went to a bridal show and they had a fashion show and there was a knock off of my gown in the show - DF says "Oh my god, I love that gown.:scared:" I didn't know how to react so I just pulled "Yeah, it's alright" :rolleyes1 I hope he didn't see through the act. I have to say though it is killing me - I want to talk about my dress but I have to do it here or to my friends at work.....Only 10 more months!!! Oh I really have to work on the body (really hard).

I hope we hear something soon - I am really starting to sweat it. Bob and I wanted to not only give the pictures to our mothers for Christmas but we also wanted to have our engagement put in the newspaper for the Christmas weekend. I don't think it is going to happen :guilty: .
 
Wow, was I ever sore yesterday but I don't regret working out that hard one bit! Today I'm going to go but only do cardio. The muscles in my back and legs are just like "give us a break. " :earboy2: When I workout lately all I can do is picture me in my dress and I also finally want to be able to wear my bathing suit (while on my honeymoon) and actually look fabulous in it! Although my fiance says I always look beautiful. :cloud9:

Checked my email today - still nothing from the photographer that did our engagement photos - I am so upset :guilty: ! I would call her but I am too afraid that I will go off on her and never get the pictures. I already bought the frame for the picture that we were going to give to my mother.

Oh I know awhile ago - I said that for the honeymoon that we decided that we wouldn't go to the Port Orleans because my aunt went there and kind of spoiled it for us - but we decided to go there anyway. I just hope on her return trip she doesn't decide to go there again because next year she wants to go back again and stay there around the same time as us. I just think that it is so weird that she is doing this. I know to all of you it seems harmless but it's not - I know her! not only that she hasn't been getting along with my mother, the holidays are going to be a lot of fun. :rolleyes:

That's it! The average at the gym was two hours!​

God, I am so nervous about the weigh in and measurements this Saturday. I really hope some results are reflected. :rolleyes: Sometimes I notice difference in my clothes and in the mirror but I'm not sure enough to say that I am loosing weight or losing inches.

Just got my order of more of my diet shakes and protein bars! That's it for now - I hope everyone has been doing good on their diet plans, etc. I'm sorry I haven't been around that much - most of my life is consumed by going to the gym.
