Jodi Arias Trial Part 8 EXTREME CRUELTY: PROVEN

Penalty phase...what will the jury decide? (1 day poll!)

  • Death

  • Life (judge will sentence within 60 days, LWOP or Parole in 25 years)

  • No unanimous decision...new penalty phase jury will be empaneled.

Results are only viewable after voting.
I feel so bad for Travis' family and friends, but I still remember that Jodi may think she has power but she's going to sleep in a jailcell tonite and we're all sleeping in our homes with our families tonite.

:sad1: Are they kidding?
Why, because they're crying? Or one said she was sorry to the Alexander family? They KNOW that this just drags things on for the Alexander family, but that doesn't mean they can get past how strongly they feel one way or another for giving THIS defendant, in THIS case, death. I'm hugely disappointed, but I "get it".
@chriswnews: Waiting to see if #JodiArias jury will talk. Headed downstairs to live location for @EVBLive
I hope this doesn't mean that Jodi can talk for the next two months plus the whole next penalty phase.

I hope this judge buckles down and restricts Jodi's access to the media, to whatever extent she can legally. Which unfortunately is probably not at all.

DH better cough up a damn good birthday present for me now.

I know the jury wasn't supposed to be thinking about the victims family while doing this but I don't know how anyone could have heard his brother say "I don't want to have to look at my brother's murderer anymore" and not let it sway a decision. That along with the fact that JA showed zero remorse and to me her "I never meant to hurt them" was like her saying.."yeah, I killed him and planned it but never thought how it would affect his family"

Well, I guess I can start getting ready for our trip. We leave next Friday. Heading to Orlando to do Universal and SeaWorld. I haven't even begun packing.

Kar is going to be so upset about this.

OMG OMG OMG I am, BCF! :sad2:

My whole family was out all day sightseeing and shopping in KITTERY MAINE! Just walked into THIS. Are you kidding me? I am sick, so sick to hear this news.

I feel horrible for the Alexander's just horrible.

And her SMUG face fake crying over there pissed me sooooo off. GAWD.

That's the only reason I can think of that she was so upset - being afraid that those interviews may come back to haunt her.

Yep.

She better be afraid , because they will not find people who have not heard about this. And I think the next jury wont even take an hour for a verdict.

Anyone watching the local broadcast from AZCentral? Some local attorney there on the news saying there's no way to get another jury that hasn't been influenced in some way over this trial.

For apologizing. They should have come back and given the judge a reason, if it was one they may have been able to replace the juror.

I'm so upset by this, but probably for much different reasons than everyone else. I can't believe we still live in a society where people actually root for someone's death. I understand the family's anger completely, but its amazing what this has turned into and how people think they know everything about what actually happened.

Maybe it's because I'm a victim of domestic abuse myself and because I spend so much time volunteering for a local shelter, but I can't shake the thought that there's a tiny possibility that Travis wasn't 100% innocent. Seeing what I've seen, I can't help but wonder if she killed him because he didn't have the chance to kill her first. But again, my opinion is extremely biased.

Yep.
I think she was initially upset because there was a verdict, and her parents weren't there. Rewatching it, it looks like Willie smiled, and Jodi breathed a sigh of relief. I think she's thinking "I pulled off another one." On to the next battle. I despise her.
Yeah, I'm watching the talking heads fingering who they think held up justice. These jurors better go into hiding now.
I know. I wish people would cut them a break.
ARGH!!!!!!! So frustrated.

Wonder how many will go home, read all that's been written over the last 5 plus months and go "Damn, should have voted death!"

ARGH!
I've seen that so many times on True Crime shows...the jury finds out all the stuff they didn't know, and would have made a different decision...both ways tho!

Jury might put out a statement, or do a press conference.

As far as finding someone who hasn't heard about the case, my DH only heard from me, and avoided discussing it like the plague. It's the type of story he'd skip in the news.

THERE WILL BE A JURY PRESS CONFERENCE...SOME OR ALL>

They have to find one. And that one won't be pretty. They will come back with quick verdict and be done with it.

.

I'm stunned and so sad, but you're post says exactly how I feel.

It's too bad JM didn't have the last word...

A JURY PUBLIC STATEMENT....here we go....

Jurors about to do public statement. Hope they enjoy their dang holiday weekend. Alexander family has gotten tormented all over again.

She had an opportunity to stay away from the charismatic con man, but I understand what you're saying.

I am not even going to watch the public statement - I do not care to listen to what they have to say.

Wow. I picked hung jury but was really hoping for the best.

Again, please don't take anything away from this jury based on this decision. They at least kept her off the streets and she's still behind bars. Let's be greatful for that.

Yes my heart breaks for Travis' family. All we can do now is hope the next jury can finish what this jury started.
