Talking about the Alexander's and when Stephen said he wanted it to be over so he could have his life back with his family, I wouldn't put it past Jodi and her witnesses to prolong this on purpose. I think Jodi enjoys making Travis' family suffer.
::yes:: Even DH (who doesn't follow along) was as stunned as I was when Stephen mentioned the seperation, his need for medication and how he did not want to see his brother's murderer again, it really showed how how far-reaching JA's devastation is. :sad1: Yet, she was enjoying it the whole time, coming up with her next scheme. :crazy2: Our hearts really go out to the Alexanders. Hopefully the judge will keep this part of the nightmare on track for their sake.:grouphug:

I totally agree. Jodi is a monster.

Wow Snuz, I need to start hitting yard sales in the foothills!!!

Me too!! As I went rummaging today, I kept hoping to run into somebody as equally exciting. Buuuuuuuuut I live in El Boring-Town so nothing. Not even good sales!

I'm so excited that I have absolutely NOTHING on my agenda for tomorrow except court. It better start within 30 minutes of "start" time or I'm going to scream and lose my marbles.

I look at it as a divine appointment. But yeah my head was spinning and my eyes lit up like a christmas tree. But I did not want to ask to much. Anyone could still possibly be summoned and did not want her to get in trouble. But I still felt honored just to meet and talk with her.

Pebbles - So sorry to hear about your bunnies. Hopefully there is comfort in knowing they may be hiding until it's safe to return.

Pigletgirl - I hope you and Baby Charlotte are well and you're holding her in your arms real soon!:cutie::cloud9:

Usnuz - Wow! What an amazining encounter; what are the chances?:cool1: Thanks for sharing. I can't say I would have had the same restraint.:rolleyes1

It's probably been mentioned, but what time do we start on Mon.?:confused3 For the Alexander's sake, I really hope this phase doesn't drag on. They have endured enough trash talk. It would have been wonderful if the impact statements were the last thing the jury heard.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend and to those of you in states bearing the brunt of these storms, stay safe.

Debbie downer time- the neighbors dog tore one of the rabbits apart and dropped it at my feet today. That was the fast one that I didn't think would be caught. Not holding out much hope for the white one, but hoping somebody picked her up, or if nothing else, she died a quick death of a heart attack from fear. Okay, bad news over.

Anybody in the path of the storm right now? Looks viscous, but am hoping we get hit tomorrow, I love scary storms!!!

I know what you are saying and I felt so bad for him when he was talking. I hope that he and his wife can keep things together now that this is almost over. A death in the family, especially something this tragic, really can take its toll on a family.

No kidding!! Lucky!

That is still amazing to me. I am so happy for you that you got this chance. It's really neat!

Ugghhhh, I'm so sorry Pebbles. Maybe you should drop a leash off at your neighbor's feet.:headache:

I love scary storms too! My favorite are the super flashy lightening storms we get around here. As for the lift-the-house-from-the-foundation type - not so much.:scared: Stay safe and promise you won't go storm-chasing.:drive::lmao:

I hope they get back together. Their little girl lost her uncle; she shouldn't have to lose her father too.

I'm so sorry about the rabbits. I'm an animal lover (foster puppies for a rescue organization), and I just hate it when anything happens to one. I was hoping for the best.

I love storms too - obviously not the dangerous ones, but love the wind, rain, and lightning. When I was in college, I spent a semester in West Palm Beach and used to love to go park by the seawall when a storm rolled in. My master's degree (10+ years ago) is in Geosciences and one of the field courses I took was a Great Plains Storm Chase. Love a good storm!

The neighbor told me because of the issues with their dog (bit my daughter two years ago...is an escape artist and is everywhere, tried to bite me today and on and on and on), they're most likely going to put her to sleep. I told the owner that she just needs a home where she can get the energy out but where she can't hurt anybody or anything.

Ooooh love the lightning-y storms! Lights are flickering right now and a storm is a few minutes away and in a few hours, the tornado cell that hit Oklahoma should pass through! CARNAGE!!!! (Though I still worry about my white rabbit if it's still alive. Gah, need to stop thinking about that). Funny/amusing/scary story about storms. About 3 years ago my daughter had a baseball game and I was at my parents ready to go. Out of nowhere the sky turned ominous and I was outside watching as the wind picked up and lightning and thunder came. My mom was at the door screaming at me to get inside (Picture Aunty Em yelling at Dorothy). Reluctantly I turned to come in...I wasn't more than a few feet when half of a huge oak tree fell right where I was standing. My mom was beyond horrified but I thought it was the neatest thing ever!!! Now if only I could convince the trees to fall on my car so I won't feel bad about getting a new car.

As for Stephen, he is back with his wife and making it work. He had stated something about two years of the back and forth but then decided to make it work...even though it's extremely hard. I don't know how I would handle that situation being the wife of somebody like that. I'd be as supportive as possible, but does there come a point where it's like "Babe, it's been a few years and nothing is working. I get the toll on you, but what about the rest of us??" Through thick and thin could be really difficult when dealing with the reocurring nightmares and the fear and who knows what else. I'm hoping that his wife is continuously supportive and it was him that felt he needed to distance himself.

That is so neat! Has it served you well or is it sort of like an English degree, nice to have but not entirely functional? I've always wanted to be a storm chaser but think if I were to come face to face with a twister, I'd be a bit terrified.

In my case, it got me a raise, and I also taught Science for awhile. I've retired recently, and I'm hoping I can use it to do some online teaching and maybe adjunct at a community college (after I've been off for awhile).

My husband and I went through the program together and really enjoyed it. Our daughter would LOVE to do a storm chase. They're a lot of fun, but you have to be prepared for long, long, long drives. One day we drove hundreds of miles one way only to turn around and go back to the same area the next day (truly at the mercy of the weather formations).

We saw some HUGE hail. The professors in charge said they can never rent vans from the same place each year because they generally come back with dents in the roof! :rotfl2:

That's too funny!! I seriously hope my car takes a beating, but preferably not just hail damage...enough dents that I did on my own! A few years back, Madison got baseball size hail and my sister sent me a picture...THAT could do some damage!! Luckily (or unluckily?) the small storm passed by with nothing more than some wind. The other cell is still on it's way though. Once I read something about the town that I live in and due to it's location with the river and a few other things, very few storms are serious. Sure, we get some wind and rain but a few miles up the road, they get slammed. One of the storms last year uprooted two giant trees in front of somebody's house maybe 1/4 mile away and they fell like an X right in front of his doorway, missing his house by inches...here, well I think we had some leaves on the ground!! :rotfl: I'm hoping this coming storm does a bit of damage, but not enough to hurt anybody or anything.

Missouri is supposed to get some. Not sure how close or intense they'll be to the metro areas. I've heard babies come when it storms so maybe C will finally show up?

Hi all. Welcome to Monday !

So sorry to hear about the rabbits. We have some that visit us in our yard and its such a joy to watch them and nature in general.

Perhaps this is the day for our newest DIS baby to make a debut? They say crazy weather helps move things along lol. Hope ur doing well pigletgirl

Wow ... My tag sale sagas have never ended in such interesting conversations. I too hope some "real " interviews and conversations come yo light when the trial comes to its demise. Would like go hear from set Flores. But that would likely be after he retired or only after Cm is gone ....as in death penalty which can be many many many years...and likely not even happen. I think they said last one was 30 years ago in Az
I'm still for death row for the Cm(convicted murderer)

Hope everyone's safe and enjoyed the weekend. Here's to what should be an interesting week ahead in the trial. I hope there are no more delays and the judge can better control her courtroom!!

GMA is talking about the case right now and they say her only chance at not getting the DP is if she acts truly sorry for what she has done....yeah, like that will happen.

They also showed a clip of her friend (forget her name) who was supposed to testify for her and then dropped out at the last minute. The clip they showed was not from this weekend so not sure when it was but she looked high and totally out of it. Her eyes were half closed and her words were slurred. She said Jodi is not the monster everyone makes her out to be.
