Hi all. Welcome to Monday !

So sorry to hear about the rabbits. We have some that visit us in our yard and its such a joy to watch them and nature in general.

Perhaps this is the day for our newest DIS baby to make a debut? They say crazy weather helps move things along lol. Hope ur doing well pigletgirl

Wow ... My tag sale sagas have never ended in such interesting conversations. I too hope some "real " interviews and conversations come yo light when the trial comes to its demise. Would like go hear from set Flores. But that would likely be after he retired or only after Cm is gone ....as in death penalty which can be many many many years...and likely not even happen. I think they said last one was 30 years ago in Az
I'm still for death row for the Cm(convicted murderer)

Hope everyone's safe and enjoyed the weekend. Here's to what should be an interesting week ahead in the trial. I hope there are no more delays and the judge can better control her courtroom!!

First off, I just now noticed that your name is A1 TINK FANS...I've been reading it as Atkins fans!!! Just like I read pizzie duster as Pizza cutter! :rotfl:

Okay- back to the trial. Why does it take so long for somebody to be put to death? 30 years is a long time. I understand that it may take a while for an individual to get to that point if there are appeals or other court issues, but if Jodi gets death- nobody is going to overturn that. *I was going to say that Timothy McVeigh got the needle quickly, but after googling, turns out he waited 6 years and two months. Didn't think it was so long. I'm glad he was put to death before 9/11 happened, he would have been overjoyed. Disgusting. Anyway, I hope sweet little Jodes only has to suffer through her life for another 6 years before she gets what she wants (Insert Jafar scene where Aladdin is holding on at the mouth of the cave and Jafar says "I'm giving you your reward....your eterrrrrrnal reward!)

What is the start time for today. Been out of loop with dance recital all weekend.

I bet you looked beautiful in your tutu! :rotfl2: Hope it went well, I love watching the dancers- young and old, both have so many great aspects.

I wouldn't EVER be caught dead in a tutu :). I swear I still haven't figured out how I got myself a tiny dancer. I was a swimmer and softball player growing up. Total tomboy. Where my little girly, girl came from I'll never know. DD actually asked me why I don't take the adult ballet class. Um, NO WAY JOSE!

I was a tomboy mostly too..... but I actually DID take adult ballet and tap

Only for a short time though. LOL. It was fun.

My daughter used to be a little princess wannabe. Everything she had was pink, everything she did had to do with princesses, she wore tiaras and tutus everywhere. Then one day, out of nowhere, she said "Mom, I HATE pink" and so we painted her room lime green like requested, removed any hint of princess stuff and since then, she wears primarily boy shorts and a tshirt. Weirdly enough though, in the past few weeks she has started caring about what she looks like and has been wearing skirts and dresses....she has a "boyfriend" too :scared1: Oh yeah, she also dropped out of gymnastics after 8 years and is focusing on softball and volleyball. *Sigh* My baby's growing up!!

You should DEFINITELY take that adult ballet class! Or would you look like Jim Carrey in a tutu (was it Ace Ventura?)

:rotfl2: I wouldn't either. I did it as a kid but I'm sure it was not by choice!:rotfl:

It's funny to me because my oldest daughter never wanted to do anything like that. She never played sports or anything. She just never showed any interest in anything really. So imagine my surprise when her senior year rolled around and she said that she had always wanted to be a ballerina! Of all things!! :lmao: She doesn't have a graceful bone in her body!!:rotfl: We laugh about it now!

Any news on Baby C?? :listen:

So, who thinks Jodi will beg for her life? Do you think she will be remorseful? I just dont see her doing that at all. :rolleyes1 Can you believe that they are bringing her art work into this, as a reason she should live?:headache: Travis had more going for him than artwork, and he wasn't allowed to live.:(

I don't know what to expect. I think she will cry. I really do. She will NOT say she is sorry for killing him. I am pretty certain of that (of course the cray cray always does unexpected crap). There is no reason for her not to be put to death! Artwork my ***. Those hands killed a man.

Had an hour and a half of contractions every 15-20 minutes apart. They've kind of fizzled out. I am exhausted. I hope to catch some of the trial today. C'mon baby girl, its time!

I really hope that she comes on her own time without having to be induced. Hopefully it's today...after court. I'm so excited and nervous and happy for you!

The neighbor told me because of the issues with their dog...they're most likely going to put her to sleep. I told the owner that she just needs a home where she can get the energy out but where she can't hurt anybody or anything.

Out of nowhere the sky turned ominous..I wasn't more than a few feet when half of a huge oak tree fell right where I was standing. My mom was beyond horrified but I thought it was the neatest thing ever!!! Now if only I could convince the trees to fall on my car so I won't feel bad about getting a new car.
Sorry your daughter was the victim of that dog. Is she o.k? As for the dog, she needs to be trained or placed with a new owner. Sheeesh!

We used to get those storms in the summer and called them temperature inversions. (horseshowmom correct me) Anyway, one came up fast. My mom did the Aunty Em thing and just as I hit the front door, my brother was running across the front lawn and the huge maple tree fell behind him, missing him by what looked like an inch!!!:scared1: He never realized it but my mom and I were stunned! We freaked thinking if he hesitated, that would be it.:faint:
My master's degree (10+ years ago) is in Geosciences and one of the field courses I took was a Great Plains Storm Chase. Love a good storm!
Fascinating! I didn't know such a course existed. I would have loved to take that one.

::yes:: Pigletgirl, hopefully your princess makes her debut today! Here's some pixidust!pixiedust:

I would really like to hear from Det. Flores, Juan and the jurors too.

They also showed a clip of her friend ...she looked high and totally out of it. Her eyes were half closed and her words were slurred. She said Jodi is not the monster everyone makes her out to be.MJ

In a DP case, or any case for that matter, why would you have friends like this testify for you? This is the best person she could get to speak for her character?

::yes::I thought it was Atkins Fan and Pizza Duster. :confused3

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl2::lmao: I'll never view that scene the same way again. Too bad that penalty is not on the table!.

:lmao:

Someone on HLN last week, Vinnie or someone, said the mitigating factor list had to be written by Jodi alone, not with input from her counsel. I seriously agree. They seem like they were written by a 5yr. old. So no, I don't expect any remorse from her.

Hope everyone made it through the storms o.k.

Just let your body relax. If you are having contractions they will come quicker. Lets hope she comes soon.

Good morning everyone. I've had a busy weekend, so I'm just catching up now. My DD graduated from college, after a brief delay in her education to have a baby. So sweet when DGD put her arms out to her during the recessional. I was standing there with a bouquet of flowers to hand DD, but DSIL had DGD and DD took DGD instead. (I know...all those acronyms sound ridiculous! ) Two kids down, one to go. :thumbsup2

Pebbles, SO so sorry about your rabbits. How heartbreaking.

I hope Donovan is in deep doodoo for her association with Jodes.

Usnuz, cool encounter with the detective! Did you give her the link to this thread? ;) :lmao:Is this her?

I wonder what her injury was that was so bad she needed to retire from the police force. You'd think there'd be a desk job, or interrogations. She's so young!

I'm curious who you all would like to see interview anyone from this case, since the question of "reputable interviewer" came up. Are there any reputable interviewers anymore?? It seems like most "news" shows that I see (and granted, I could very well be hanging out on the wrong shows) are somewhat more sedate versions of TMZ.

I've caught up on a few HLN shows...mostly FFing to input from Beth Karas, because at this point, she's just about the only one who I feel is the full package of legal knowledge and intelligent input. I like Joey Jackson a lot too, but the fact that he's so darn cute might figure in a bit. :teeth:
As for Stephen, he is back with his wife and making it work. He had stated something about two years of the back and forth but then decided to make it work...even though it's extremely hard. I don't know how I would handle that situation being the wife of somebody like that. I'd be as supportive as possible, but does there come a point where it's like "Babe, it's been a few years and nothing is working. I get the toll on you, but what about the rest of us??" Through thick and thin could be really difficult when dealing with the reocurring nightmares and the fear and who knows what else. I'm hoping that his wife is continuously supportive and it was him that felt he needed to distance himself.
It broke my heart to hear Stephen talk about his marriage, and I was glad to hear that it appears they're hanging in there. The problem that they're all dealing with is not only the brutal physical murder of their brother, but the Jodi and the DT jerking them around with delays that dragged this out for five long years, and most of all...besides the brutal death itself...these horrific accusations against Travis. HOW do you go through all that and maintain your own sanity, never mind relationships, when bit by bit, day to day, month to month, year to year, you're getting blindsided with more of this ****? To sit there and listen to that evil witch on the stand, lying through her teeth, without jumping over the railing, or screaming out to her...I give them a lot of credit. I'm sure that JM has drummed into them the importance of maintaining decorum in the courtroom, not only so that they don't get thrown out and not allowed back in, but so that they nothing happens to give a basis for appeal, but to hold back like that has got to build up in them. They deserve to have this end and hopefully then can fully focus on their own lives. God, I hope so. :worried:

Artwork my ***. Those hands killed a man.
If Michelangelo murdered someone like Jodi did, I'd let him finish the Sistine Chapel before execution. Jodi is no Michelangelo.

Oh geez, this is nervewracking for us. Oh yeah...you too, I guess! ;) Hang in there. No one stays pregnant forever...just seems that way sometimes.

Yeah, the list does sound like that. And I bet Jodi believes it's a really good, solid list.

One more thing...someone posted pages back that Patty Womack was dressed in cutoffs and an inappropriate shirt, but people on HLN mentioned seeing her in court Thursday, and no one mentioned how she was dressed. You'd think they would have, no? Where'd we get that info from in the first place?

Bless your heart!! She is acting like my daughter did. :crazy2: I lived a good hour from the hospital and we went over there when I was contracting like that, just to make sure I made it. They hooked me up to the monitors and they lasted for a while but Lindsey was not dropping and I wasn't progressing so they sent me home and everything stopped. I was just at my due date at that time.

A week or so later and past my due date I had them again. This time I had "show". I went back to the hospital just knowing that this was it. She still had not dropped and I was not making any progress so instead of taking her by c section, he gave me something to stop my labor and sent me home.:furious: I left the hospital crying. I was livid! He wasn't my dr, just one who was on call so I chose to wait until that Monday. I still hurt all weekend long, but nothing consistent. Finally that Monday morning I was on a war path and they admitted me. I still ended up with a c section.

I still remember the frustration, but boy did she turn out beautiful and so sweet. She was worth every bit of that and more! :goodvibes

Hang in there!! She will be here soon!:flower3:

The ones earlier were painful. It has to be something but it isn't enough. I'm not supposed to go in or call until their 5-7 apart, but closer to 3-5. :faint:

Maybe my body can't go into labor? I feel like it's defective.

got a tweet:
@michaelbkiefer: Jodi Arias witness withdraws because of death threats

another "A mistrial at this point, however unlikely, would only affect the penalty phase of the trial. The conviction would stand.

Aw, don't get discouraged! I know it's frustrating! (14 days, 8 days, and induced 2 days late with mine.) One way or another, she'll be here soon. All 3 of my labors were different. With my middle child, they wanted to send me home until my contractions were more regular. I refused to go. And, they NEVER became regular. Waiting can be agonizing. But this will all be a distant memory (well, maybe not, since we're all talking about our stories  ) and Charlotte will be here soon!
