Just pure speculation, how much money has this trial personally cost Willie? How much has she spent on new shoes/nails/hair/glasses/clothes/jewelry.
Maybe Nurmi has purchased a few new suits/socks?

It does appear when Nurmi talks with people off the record as he meanders around the courtroom on break he usually is smiling and happy and everyone interacts pleasantly with him.
