My husband has served on the Grand Jury in Phoenix, twice. That means 3 months of going downtown every day and listening to the sordid details of ALL KINDS of cases.
Yes, it's hard for him to come home and not talk about it. But I don't really want to hear it.
It's the legalities and such that really intrigue me.
For example, some of the questions that they aren't allowed to ask when presented with a case....if they are told that the accused is a hispanic, they can't ask if that person is in the U.S. legally or not. (I'm not judging or starting a debate about immigration...that was just an example)
Or in a rape case, they obviously can't ask what the victim was wearing at the time.
It's interesting.....the whole system.
As for Jodi Arias......I have my mind made up. I was very closely involved in a murder case in my town (north of Phoenix) where the accused claimed he didn't remember, and he did terrible things to his female victim and then tried to cover it all up by burning the house down (attempting to) and then some....so I guess I'm a skeptic. I was inside that house, helping the owner clean it......
