Oh boy. I'd be so frustrated if I had been following along. Still irritates me that she can play people like a fiddle and they bow to her demands. At least judge Stephens does. Here's hoping this jury sees right through Jodi, she's such an awful person. Manipulative and not even a tiny bit remorseful....well maybe a bit sad that she didn't come up with a better ninja story....

I read that transcripts from Oct 30 and the judge admitting she was being manipulated by Jodi.

During the first trial I thought judge S was doing everything she could to make sure it was a fair trial, but during this phase, I don't think they need to cater to her nearly as much, especially when they know how she manipulates things. I would have thought by now, nurmi would have killed her on his own, but I guess it's not good to kill your cash cow. Plus wasn't he unable to walk away from her for whatever reason? (I'm going to spend so much time trying to catch up on this trial!!!)

Yes, I think both he and Wills petitioned to opt out, but were told no.

How often do you think judge Stephens and everybody in the courtroom wants to bang their head on the wall when those two ask to approach? Is this being filmed so it will be released after or just the transcripts will become available? Either way, it will be interesting to see or read; though reading won't give us the full effect of the fits the defense throws constantly

Haven't chimed in lately, but have been following this thread. Thank you to all who have kept this going and kept us informed.

I think Jodi is an intelligent, manipulative person and really wonder if this last ploy of not testifying/allocuting in front if the jury is a set up for her appeals. Or because it was ruled she could not testify in private would carry through and that not be overturned.

Oh I think you are spot on! I agree she is intelligent and VERY manipulative.
She will appeal immediately upon sentencing. no matter what that result is.
I give the Jury less than 24 hours.

No appeal on that as the supreme court ruled she can not do anything in secret.
