Jury is on lunch break but now Nurmi is arguing that Martinez inserted a prior bad act into his opening where no notice was given. Nurmi argues that the state says Arias has no criminal history but intimates that lying to the police is a crime. Martinez says it IS a crime to lie to the police. Nurmi says he was supposed to receive in writing any prior bad act that the state intends to use. Judge denies the motion for a mistrial.

I see they've called Melendez, the tech that retrieved the deleted photos. It sounds like they're having to back all the way up for this jury despite the conviction. Could be a very long penalty phase.

Melendez says he found the camera in the washing machine, put on his gloves & checked to see if there was a memory card. #JodiArias

his witness will show that it is not easy to delete pictures from this camera. #jodiarias claimed she didn't know how to operate it.


Remember it was her mishandling and dropping this camera that #JodiArias claims sparked beating from Travis just before murder.
