20 more jurors dismissed. 54 total out of 100 are gone. 46 will go downstairs for jury questionnaire tdy. 179 jurors total left. #JodiArias

Well it looks like I'm late to the party. I will have to go catch up but I'm around for the last phase. I hope the new jury will come to a decision.

: 2 jurors want a word privately. The rest are excused to fill out jury questionnaires. #jodiarias

looks like verdict in for dunn

Hope another thread is OK with everyone. ;) The last thread, from last year, got to 250 pages and was closed, I think. This should be the VERY LAST THREAD. :cheer2:

Honestly, the rate our threads were going, I don't think this will be the last one. :rotfl:

Jury selection starts Monday, 9/29.

The trial will be recorded, but not aired until after the penalty phase verdict is in, or if there is no verdict reached, the judge sentences her. Meanwhile, reporters can tweet and report on the trial.

Well I'm glad we'll at least get some updates.

I think I heard that the penalty phase should take about 5 weeks, but from what we know of JA's trial, and actually getting to the start of this phase again, the defense are pros at delays, so we'll see. I think there were more delays and sidebars during the original 5 months than actual testimony.

I expect nothing less. They've been trying everything to get this last phase thrown out of court. I'm sure they will continue.

I hope for the sake of Travis Alexander's family this is finally the end. Although as long as JA can speak through other people from prison, it will never end. Even if she is given the death penalty, until/unless it's carried out, JA will do everything in her power to punish that poor family. :sad2:

Unfortunately this will not be the end and yes, she will do everything in her power to punish the family. After this, then comes the 50 million appeals.

Tonight starting at 7 PM with Jane Valez-Mitchell, there will be special reports about JA and the crime. Any volunteers to watch HLN and report back? Anyone? :rolleyes1 Should we assign people to watch each show, spread the pain out? ;) J/K. I might record them (so I can FF!) to see if there's anything new about this phase or if it's just a rehash of the crime and the murderer. If there's anything "new" I'll let you know. All donations for my pain and suffering graciously accepted. ;) But if anyone else DOES watch, please feel free to fill us in!

UR, get off that mower and start serving up pretty drinks! We'll need them! :crazy2:

Ooh. There are cocktails again. :goodvibes

Yikes! I was wondering how this Jodi thread got so long when there was no court yesterday! Skipping over Dunn made it go MUCH faster! lolOoooo, I remember that. I'll have to read the link. She is one stupid fool.I HATED the ending. Not because it just ends, but I wanted justice. Apparently lots of people hated it. I'm curious to see the movie. I heard that they changed the ending...to what extent, I don't know.

Here's an article about the motion to dismiss the death penalty, etc (Jodi case):

Michelle Williams (that Texas case) got 60 years. :thumbsup2

And Gone Girl, I came to the end and my mouth fell open. WTH??? We're gonna need a sequel.

I started Jane's book on Jodi a couple of hours ago, nice refresher, really a quick read. :thumbsup2

Welcome back! You haven't missed much. I'm going on vacation this month, and I thought the actual penalty phase would be taking place and I'd be too busy to follow it, but maybe not.

I agree on JVM's book. :thumbsup2
