Jodi Arias Murder Trial

Thanks, UR! Those are some great articles! I especially liked the TIMELINE article! Thanks for posting!

Yeah, I thought that was a pretty thorough article giving a concise timeline of events.

I'm anxious to watch that 48 Hours tonight, I hope they've included more than just rehashing the previous one from a couple of years ago I posted.

And even though my eyes glaze over when I check the TV Guide and it comes to the Lifetime channel, I'm gonna watch that Casey Anthony movie too tonight.

By the way, earlier in the thread I posted that Arias' family was selling her artwork on ebay, I recently read that the funds from that are to help her pay expenses while she's in jail (understood it to be for her, not her attorneys). And it looks like she sold all the ones listed earlier and she's got two new ones up for sale now, these start out over $200.

:wave2: GOOD MORNING, DISer's.

Oh wow, I have been watching this case every day on In Session. Just happened to notice this thread here on the DIS.

So I have a question. Her hair. After she killed Travis and went back home to her grandparents house was it then that she dyed her hair back to BROWN. Because when she rented the car on June 3rd the rental agent said her hair was blonde (like in allot of her pictures). I think I missed any questions or testimony on her HAIR. Thanks. (She was arrested 5 days later, right, on June 9th?).

What did you all think of her new glasses?

So I learn something new every time I watch a trial & for instance that Jodie comes into the court room ALWAYS before the Jury because the Defense does not want the Jury to know that she is indeed already in jail serving time and all hand cuffed legs and arms.

So Trial resumes in like 2 weeks & I wonder why?

One more thing, where or what channel do you all turn to when IS is over at 3pm? Thanks.

Whenever I see her now with the brown stringy looking hair and glasses I think she is trying to look like Andrea Yates.

I'm trying hard not to get into this case but she makes it rather hard. She is interesting to say the least.

Headline News (HLN), but that usually only lasts a few minutes if court starts late and generally doesn't show the trial in it's entirety. The time difference between Atlanta (TruTV's studios) and Arizona makes it easy for TruTV to show anything not televised live on HLN the next morning before court resumes.

WOW! I went to Disney for a couple days and missed a lot. Thanks for the info on where I can catch up.
I can't believe the Prosecution rested already.

I'm happy there is a break till the 29th, I won't miss a thing while I am on my cruise.

:lmao:

I was glad the doctor's office could get me in next week. :rotfl:

How many threads can be about trials? Yikes, lets hope there isn't more! We would be stuck to a screen all the time afraid to move and miss anything.:rotfl2:

Oh Yes everyone of us is addicted to this train wreck.

I hate to admit this but during the Casey Anthony trial I was following Vinnie Politan twitters while I was touring DC to include getting married and honeymooning at DisneyWorld. :lmao:

By the way, happy anniversary and I hope you and your husband have a wonderful cruise! :goodvibes

Oh gawd, I'm afraid TruTV is going to announce some intriguing case they're going to take up after this one and to make it worse, it'll be another one with a time difference so to keep up with the live trial I'll have to watch it online til 5-6PM my time zone.

.I think her and Nancy Grace should duke it out in a mudwrestling match, winner goes free loser is winners slave for life. However short that may be LOL

I am watching. The Blue Eyed Butcher on lifetime about Susan Wright. is there a sociopath school cause dang.

Who is Susan Wright. I probably know, just can't think off the top of my head.

She stabbed her husband almost 200 times. Buried his body in the yard. a week later claimed self defense. She created a elaborate story ti lead up to self defense. Found guilty and got like 20 years.

I found this on wikipedia and thought it was interesting:

In 2005, the Fourteenth Court of Appeals of Texas in Houston upheld Susan Wright's conviction.

In 2008, Wright re-appealed. This time, a new witness, Misty McMichael, the wife of former NFL Super Bowl champion Steve McMichael and ex-fiancee of Jeff Wright, came forward to tell her story of how she endured abuse and violence during her four year relationship with Jeff Wright.

In 2009, the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals granted Wright a new sentencing hearing, after determining that Wright's “counsel rendered ineffective assistance during the punishment phase of trial” in 2004. On November 20, 2010, Wright was re-sentenced to 20 years in prison, five years less than her original sentence. Barring another appeal, Wright will be eligible for parole on February 28, 2014, when she will be 38 years old.

I didn't watch the movie, but I remember seeing the story on 20/20 or something of that nature. It might have helped her case if Misty McMichael had come forward during the origninal trial. It takes a lot of emotion to stab somebody almost 200 times whether it be fear or anger.

THANK YOU! :goodvibes

Did you miss the whole trial? If so it was not only maddening at times, but allot of yelling at the tv. And allot of jaw dropping moments.

Oh no, I watched the majority of it on TV, still wonder what the hell that jury was thinking. :sad2:

Yikes! This thread got long. I got sidetracked for a couple of weeks as far as reading/posting on this thread, but still caught quite a bit of the trial on TV and the InSession updates. DS and his girlfriend went back to school today, so I'll do some catching up before the trial starts up again next week. (Which I think is weird...this gap between prosecution and defense. ??)

Also have to catch up on The Bachelorette thread! Important stuff I'm missing! LOL
