Has anyone applied and gotten a favorable response when answering an out of state ad that says "no relo covered"? It seems like a vicious circle...DH is getting REALLY desperate and applies everywhere (or course, we're always hopeful for a warm climate) but if you're willing to pay for your own move, do you state it in your cover letter? I get the feeling the HR dept sees an out of state address and files the resume under the circular file. Any helpful recommendations will be most appreciated.
TIA,
Pam

I would look and see if Monster.com or any of the other job sites have and advice on this.

MY DH used to write something on a cover letter, but I don't remember what.

I would probably write it in the cover letter. It can't hurt. If it's a job that really does look like it could be a good match, I'd probably also call the HR department and let them know that the resume is coming and that he's willing to relocate on his own.

Thanx for the advice....that's kinda what I figured...(but what do I know:rolleyes: ) I'll just chalk DH's judgement of me up to the frustration of it all. Something will click soon.
Kermit....so happy all is well and happy! Baby Jacob is SO cute! Does he know his first big vacation will be to WDW yet?;)
Cindy B. Great advice on the Monster site...I looked on their chat boards and found the same thing you guys are saying...to mention it in the cover letter. It's driving us crazy that he sees stuff in other states that look like they're a great match.
