Randy had decided that the perfect place to do our first look would be in front of the 'Founders Fountain' at the back of BLT. He set Paul up and then came to collect me. I remember how excited I felt stepping out of the hotel room door!!
Our room was the first down the corridor from the elevator area, so we didn't have far to walk, but two groups of guests shouted out congratulations in that short journey. It was the first of very many good wishes we would receive that day (and indeed throughout the trip). It was so nice to have people we didn't know at all, seem so happy for us!!!
So I made my way along the corridor, with my family following
Whilst waiting for the elevator, Randy took the opportunity to take more photos
So we eventually get down the bottom to the courtyard and through the glass I can see Paul with his back to me, waiting. I can't remember what was said or who opened the door - I was concentrating on my gorgeous husband!!! I had not seen him since we had started getting ready and he looked so handsome (and a little nervous!!).
I slowly walked over to him and when I was within earshot said 'Hi'. I wish I could have thought of something better to say but I was so emotional!!! Paul turned around and a huge grin spread over his face. He didn't say a thing, but I could tell he was overcome. He told me later that he didn't know what to say as 'You look beautiful' didn't seem to cover it at all!!!
I am so happy we did a 'first look'. Although Randy and some of our guests were looking on, it seemed so intimate. We felt like we were the only two people in the world at that moment!!
Randy took loads and loads of photos around the courtyard and the beautiful fountain. Here are just four of my favourites
Next it was time for Randy to pack us off into the limo for our journey to the Swan
