Jimmy Buffett tickets

I'm preparing for next year. Without going through a ticket agency and paying a huge price, does anyone have a suggestion or idea for purchasing tickets? Every year I go through Ticketmaster and can never get in quick enough. Any help would be appreciated.

Find out when the tickets go on sale (most popular tickets begin selling on a Saturday). Go to a Ticketmaster Outlet in your region and get in line several hours before they are to go on sale. Here it's 9 a.m. central time. You might want to go to a city that is still in your region, but is a ways from the event venue. Several years ago I scored great tickets to a Paul McCartney Concert in Iowa by buying the tickets in Missouri. (You will not be able to buy tickets outside your region except by phone or online).

I have had good luck by calling right when they go onsale to Ohio (we are in MI). I always call a few days before to check to see if they will be on sale there too. I usually call and try on the internet at the same time and I have always gotton tickets by calling. Good luck next year

To get good tickets you need to sign up online with all of your local venues.

For instance in Portland, OR I am signed up online at The Rose Garden and the Clark Co. Amphitheater. It doesn't cost anything, but in exchange for getting your email address they give you advance notice of concerts. Then they usually give you a special code and you can go to Ticketmaster and buy tickets 1 - 2 days before the general public. Also, sign up as a frequent listener with your local radio stations, they too will email you special codes to buy early tickets for upcoming concerts. Sometimes you even get a cheaper price, not usually much, but every bit helps.

My latest score was last week. I had pre-purchased tickets to our local fair through a radio station. For $36 I got 3 nights worth of tickets to see Darryl Worley, Keith Anderson and Lonestar. I purchased just as soon as I was notified and got 4 center stage, 8th row tickets!! They were awesome seats and only cost $12 for each night!

It pays to sign up with your local arenas, amphitheaters or where ever you might go for concerts in your area.

We went to a Buffet concert last August in Philadelphia. We watched for information on the margaritaville website and we (I just asked DH about it) THINK there was a link and phone number along with selling times on the website. I remember it was a Saturday morning, DH was at work on the phone, I was on my laptop and DS was on the PC. DH had the best luck through the phone. We got tickets in the first tier for $80. We received our tickets in the mail along with an apology letter stating that our initial seats were an obstructed view. The gave us floor tickets and hoped they would be satisfactory!! It was a great show and being on the floor is an experience in itsself!! I have no idea how much they would go for!!

We always go to the closest Ticketmaster location and get there 1.5 hrs to 2 hrs before the sale starts. There is always a huge line. Last year DH, I, and three other friends went together and staggered ourselves in the line, just like every other group of friends did, and we got really lucky on the lottory for the actual purchasing line. Also, when in line, all of us are working the cell phones with ticketmaster. But only once have we gotten better seating on the phone, then what we would have gotten buying at the location.

This year the tickets for the Indy show went on sale on a Monday morning @ 10:00. We had already decided to go the the Cincinnati show, so trying to get time off from work didn't matter to us. But would have been interesting to see who many people did take time off from work to go get tickets.

I get them every year via Ticketmaster with no problems. This year I got seats to 3 shows! What I do is log into Ticketmaster about 20 minutes before they go on sale and then just start refreshing (but be careful, if you refresh too much it freezes you out). As soon as the tickets come up I choose the # of tickets I want and best location available. I'm not picky on the seats, I get what I get. Maybe I have magic fingers! Good luck! I could not imagine a summer going by without seeing the man.
