What's the song that Jimmy does that mentions Beirut? Something like....I spent a week one night in Beirut... It is not that but I can't sem to grasp the lyrics when they go floating around in my head...

One Particular Harbor & Island are my faves.

And 'Survive' - for sentimental reasons. It was mine and DHs wedding dance song (he's military, we dated long distance for 4 years and he was deployed about 6 months a year when we were first married-so it was a THE PERFECT song for a couple of Parrtohead kids!)

Oh - and 'Captain and the Kid' reminds me of my Gpa who actually was a Captain

Oh - and 'Boomerang Love', it was playing when we got engaged.

Hello Parrotheads!


Just a little info.... Jimmy just shot part (or maybe all) of a new video here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast beach. It was filmed in a bar that was gutted by Hurricane Katrina, but the song's about Hurricane Ivan! They had to hang different signs over the Firedog Saloon signs and put ALOT of Florida's white sand on the floor to make it look "realistic."

I read his book, "A Pirate Looks at 50" some time ago, and I just kept thinking how interesting it would be to be him! His songs really do reflect a lot of his experiences. He is one of the people I would really love to meet.

Yeah. I've seen him at least once a year since '88...till my son was born in 2004 to break my streak. I started a new streak last week. Hopefully he's around playing long enough for me to take my son to a show.
