We went to Epcot last night, specifically to see Jim Caviezel in the Candlelight Procession. We knew that the early show was closed to the General Public for a special event presentation. When we got there, the 6:45pm line was very long, we went straight to the line and were right in front of Italy. A CM came down the line and said that we would most likely not be getting into the next show. We figured as much and decided to tough it out for the 8:15pm show. After the 6:45pm show went in we were about 100ppl from the front of the General Admission line. In addition to the Candlelight Dinner Package line, there was another group that was assembled next the American Pavilion that went in before us.
When we finally got in, we were in the rear, but right on the center aisle.
The show was fantastic (as always) and it was evident that Jim Caviezel was moved and even choked up at times during the reading. At the end he thanked Walt Disney World for continuing the Candlelight Procession and not turning it into a "Holiday Extravaganza."
He also said a few words about the movie "The Passion of Christ" and thanks Mel Gibson for directing and producing it.
We spent most of the night in line, but it was well worth the time and effort.
Jim will be there tonight (12/6) and tomorrow night (12/7) too.

We wanted to see him so bad, but missed him by one day. I'm glad you got to enjoy the show. Kirk Franklin was our narrator, and he did a great job as well. It was very moving - the choirs did an awesome job!!

Candlelight Processional is absolutely wonderful! I encourage everyone to at least stop by & at least listen to the program even if you don't want a seat. We listened to Heather Headley last week. She was very good. She knew her "lines" rather than just reading the words plus she sang with the choirs often. Candlelight Processional is very moving no matter how many years we have seen it.

I was so upset when I read the line up and realized I would miss Jim Caviezel by 1 day. I'm glad you got to see him.

This was my first time at Disney World and the Candlelight Processional. I got to see Kirk Franklin and Jim Caviezel. Both gentlemen were just brilliant.

But I was wondering if anyone out there took video of Caviezel. I was so moved by his narration. I was too far back for any photos and never thought to bring a videocamera.

I would appreciate any help..

Thanks :earsgirl:

Thank you Debbie,

The photo brought back happy memories. I enjoyed myself so much I hope to make this a yearly trip.

I missed Jim on Larry King. He's an interesting actor. After Epcot, I picked up some of his earlier movies and didn't realize he was The Count of Monte Cristo!

Thanks again for sharing.
