Jilian & BT's VR 3/24/12 Crescent Terr/Il Mulino - Last of the Randy Chapman pics up!

PS. loved learning the difference between low tea and high tea! Thanks Jo!

Sounds like everything is really coming together. I want to come to your welcome gathering. I know nothing about tea at all (I don't drink tea or coffee) so thank you Jo for sharing the differences.

Checking in! 3 weeks!! yay!!! I've missed a bit, I'm going crazy here myself! :rotfl: That is great on the publix platters, yay! Awesome your mom is helping and gave you money towards the VR- whoo hoo! :dance3:

I've been thinking about pre-paying for the photopass CD too, I want to hear how it works out, if everyone uses it and how many cards you're able to add to it! :goodvibes

yay for your tea too, I love big floppy hats!!

Aurora is excited, don't hold her back! :)

No offense taken at all Joanne, you are exactly right that I'm the type who would rather be corrected. I find it interesting to hear the difference too.

Tricia I got my photopass CD info from the Disbrides of FB. From what I learned, you pay the $99 and they place a credit onto your account for a photopass CD. When you get to the park you take as many pictures as you want. Then you can come home and edit, add more photopass cards, etc. When you're all done editing, you click on "purchase CD" and they send you the CDs, you pay a small shipping charge depending on how many CDs they are sending. I have heard of brides adding other photopass cards onto their account but I'm not sure if there is a limit to how many you can add. I know one bride said she got 7 CDs and a ton of pictures! The only limit is that 30 days after each picture is taken it dissappears from your account, so you need to be sure to edit and purchase the CD within 30 days or you lost the pictures. I hope this makes sense!

OT but I just have to sing the praise of the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. My daugher got a hold of her brother's black permanent marker yesterday afternoon and decorated our tile floor and grout. The eraser cleaned it all up. That eraser really is magic!

This weekend I'm determined to finish everything up. We're going shopping to get H a shirt and DS2 a belt.

I've printed out a vendor info sheet with vendor contact info for all of our vendors and I put it in my wedding day purse along with the pins.

I have directions from the Swan to the GF for pre-ceremony pics

Our Pastor sent us the VR wording and asked if we want to change anything. He's adding in kid friendly stuff to lead up to our pin ceremony. Its gonna be a family renewal :)

My new luggage should arrive today. I'm so excited. I'm starting to think I might need ever more. I'm gonna need a moving truck to get all of my stuff up to Orlando!

I started to get my clothes & stuff organized 2!! :goodvibes I find no harm in packing early bcuz when i wait 4 the last minute i tend 2 forget things... Thats awesome that ur mom gave u more money 4 the VR! U R SO CLOSE!

I am the same way with forgetting stuff. I have to pack for 5 and really don't want to forget anything! I'm excited that you are getting close too!

----------------------------------------------------------------------

My new luggage arrived Friday  It is really, really nice. I'm shocked by the quality, the set was only $109 with free shipping from Overstock.com and I almost didn't order it because it was so inexpensive and I didn't want another bad luggage set. It is just as nice as the samsonite luggage I was looking at and the reviews were even better overall. Yay for nice luggage!

We still need to get H a shirt. We found one yesterday but it has pinstripes and does not go well with his tie. Back to the store we go! I did manage to find socks and belts for my boys though, so at least the kids and I are all set.

I need to start buying drinks and snacks for the trip soon. I bought each kid a little backpack to take to the parks so they can carry their own toys, drinks and snacks. Otherwise the backpack we carry ends up weighing a million pounds. They are happy about having their own backpacks, my 2 year old daughter has been wearing hers around the house, it is adorable.

I still need to work out my wedding day timeline to make sure we can get everything done that needs to be done. I'm so happy the VR is at the beginning of the trip so we can relax and have fun after. I'm trying really hard not to get stressed and turn into a bridezilla. :rolleyes1 BTW, I've been watching old bridezilla reruns on Netflix and OMG! They really are monsters! I can't believe how cruel some brides can be to their loved ones. Yikes!

Have a great week everyone and thanks for following along :thumbsup2

16 more days til we leave!

My day-of agenda arrived yesterday from Karen. It is so detailed, it covers every single thing to be done the day of with time and info on who will do it. It also coordinates my vendors, even the ones I've hired myself. I love the Just Marry team! I know I'm in good hands.

I bought H another shirt but it was still a no. So my fingers are crossed for shirt #3.

We've decided to cancel our reservation for camp dolphin. The kids will be coming to the dinner at il mulino and we just plan on brining a ton of things for them to do. We had a birthday party this past weekend for my nephew (the one who was also planning on going to camp dolphin with them) and it just didn't go well. They didn't play nicely together and I had visions of being called to pick them up early at camp dolphin.

I tried my dress on one last time last night and I still love it! Can't wait to wear it!

So that is what I've been up to. Almost done :)

I also found some pretty sparkley nail polish for my toes. I forget if I mentioned that I did end up exchanging my shoes for pink ones? I did a while back and found a matching purse.

Priorities ;) When I tried on my dress my friend asked what I would be doing with my toes. You sound so prepared. I hope I am half as prepared!

Oh, I'm so sorry I missed some updates, sissy-in-law!

I have to say, your mommy posts are adorable. I laughed so hard at your daughter coloring on the tile with a sharpie. :lmao:

I think the PP CD is great for families! It's pricey, but worth it.

OMG BRIDEZILLAS ARE ON NETFLIX NOW!??!?! How did I miss that?!?! I've been obsessed with that show for YEARS just because their antics are priceless. Thanks for the heads up!

I hope you find DH a shirt soon. Guys can be so picky.

I've missed so much, Jillian! I can't believe your VR is right around the corner!!

I love the tea and the dress and hat sound perfect! We are doing a tea locally in a few weeks with my future mother in law and I bought a big hat too! So fun :)

The backpacks for the kids is a great idea. I might suggest it for my brother (who is bringing his three little ones)

Good luggage is the BEST! I got my first new set two years ago and I just adore it. It's so nice to have something that you know will hold up and work well.

I'm sure the kids will do great at Il Mulino. We will have I think around 6 kids, aged 1 - 7. So it's going to be a bit more like Olive Garden with the kids running around I'm sure :lmao:

Things are coming together so nicely, you're doing such a great job with all of the organization and planning!! So excited for your big day! :yay:

Clearly your friend and I are long lost siters! :rotfl:

My kids are nuts, I'm glad they make some people laugh. I laugh at them too, it keeps me somwhat sane.

YES, bridezillas is on netflix! The show makes me feel a lot less insane :) I even have my H watching it and laughing. I seriously wonder how many of them are still married after the show.

How cool that you are doing a tea with hats too! Have fun.

LOL @ Olive garden. That is what we're expecting too. Its gonna be a little zoo in there!

You're so so close! I'm so excited for you! Sounds like everything is going well!

Thanks Faith :lovestruc

---------------------------------------------------------------------

I had a productive weekend with a mini bridezilla episode thrown in for good measure. We're down to 11 days until we leave so I'm entitled :rolleyes1

I found a shirt for H and a tie. I think that maybe I have persuaded him to wear a tie with pink it in. Fingers crossed. It looks really nice! So now everyone's clothes are set.

I also had a bridezilla moment today. I made plans with my sister for her to highlight my hair today, we've had plans since last Sunday. She suggested the day and time. So I made arrangements to head home right after church to meet with her. H and I took separate cars and everything, and I missed a presentation he had to do. On my way home I get a text from her saying that she needs another hour so she can get her daughter down for a nap. Fine. Then a half hour before our new appointment time she texts me to tell me she's out with her kids and will be heading home soon, but needs another hour. I was so mad. So the whole "I have to put my daughter down for a nap" was a lie. Free time is basically non-existant when you have 3 kids and I had to do a lot of planning and put off other things that I could have been doing and it just really ticked me off. I told her she was irresponsible and had no regard for other people's time and not to bother coming home because I'd find somewhere else to have my hair done. She back pedaled and gave some lame excuses but this is just how she is. It is nothing new. So now my hair looks like hell and I need to find somewhere to have it highlighted and I'm butthurt that my sister is so flakey all the time.

Luckily H is off the week before the VR so I can get my hair done that week if I need to. I'm still pissed at her though. She's always been like that; she doesn't really care how her actions affect anyone else. So I guess we're not talking now. I'll probably end up calling her later this week if I don't hear from her. She's my sister and I still love her.

I think I would have had the same reaction, I really don't like when I make effort for plans and someone does that last minute to me unless of course its a valid reason. So I can understand why you were upset, especially getting so close to your day!! I am sure it will all work out in the end of course and you will have beautiful hair for the day :goodvibes

Awww, I'm sorry, SIL! <3 That's a real buttpain that your sister blew you off. I can't imagine how much of a hassle it must have been for you to try and find time for YOU with having three young children! I'm glad you'll have time to do it next week, at least.

Also I'm glad you found hubs something to wear! (Mine would never wear something with pink in it. Well, unless you count this red tshirt he has had for 10 years that has faded into pink? Men.)

Sorry to hear about your sis blowing you off. That's not cool. It's so funny how we tend to say we're being bridezillas when anything upsets us or we speak up. But I don't think you're a bridezilla at all. You have every right to be upset and it's okay to say something when someone is in the wrong. I am sure your hair will turn out great. Everything else looks good.

Thanks for the support ladies, I'm glad to hear that I'm not a bridezilla. Still haven't heard from my sister but that doesn't surprise me.

H agreed to wear the tie! I found a pic too! http://www.amazon.com/Authentic-Don...1_57?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1331573680&sr=1-57 It is a Donald Trump tie which makes me laugh a lot. I can't beleive he's gonna wear it, it had both of our pinks so it matches perfectly. My H is the best, he said "Well, I don't hate it. Do you want me to wear it?" I said "YES!" and he said he'd wear it :)

Jillian,

Sorry your sister flaked on you yesterday. You had every right to go off on her. You have a lot to do with not a lot of time. Hope you can smooth it over before the big day!

I have a brother like that. He came up this past week to get some furniture and we had to jump through hoops when he was here, so he could accomplish his agenda. :headache: I asked our other brother why it is always so difficult with him and his respose was classic "He is on Planet Scott. No one else matters."

Wow, you are almost down to single digits! Exciting!!! Good luck with all the last minute stuff.

Sorry to hear that you have a frustrating sibling too. I'm big on not condonimg the behavior myself. My mom couldn't understand why I wouldn't just say OK and let her do my hair. For me it was a matter of principle, you don't make plans with someone and then bail when you decide you'd rather do something else. If I just went over anyway I'd be giving her the OK to continue to do it (which is what my parents have done her whole life but that is a whole different story). I hate when people are not considerate of others. Grrrrrrrr.

OK, I should probably work on getting over this now...lol Thanks for the free therapy ladies!

We leave in 8 more days  I just did online check in so we're all set.

My sister and I still aren't buddy buddy but she texted me the other day saying thanks for some clothes I sent over for her daughter so we're ok. I'm gonna call her later. I still need to get my hair done, hopefully this weekend that will happen.

I have no softball this weekend so I can officially go to Disney with an intact face! Thanks for all of the "no broken face" thoughts and prayers, it worked. Watch me fall down some stairs now...lol I'm clumsy so it could happen.

This weekend H's family starts flying in. They are all coming here first and driving up to Orlando Friday. We're having a cookout to welcome everyone. It has been so hot here in FL, I hope it cools off a tiny bit before the VR so I don't melt. I don't know how the summer brides do it!

Last night I hit the dollar store and bought a ton of little toys to keep the kids entertained during the VR dinner. I was so happy to see that they have a ton of Disney themed things. I bought Disney character figures, Disney coloring books, Disney tic tac toe, and a ton of other things. Yay dollar store!

Lastly, I'm stealing Jackie's brilliant idea of wearing a tiara in the MK. I love it! So I need to find myself a cute tiara ASAP. There is a running joke in my family about me being a princess who was switched at birth already so I'm sure they'll get a big kick out of it. Backstory: I didn't want to go camping with my family when I was a teen and tried to talk them into staying at a fancy hotel instead and viola, a princess joke was born!

Also, I just want to take a minute to thank each of you who have followed along and helped me with the planning process. You all have been so wonderful and I'm thankful for each and every one of you. I certainly couldn't have done it without all of the valuable info I've found here on the Dis, you ladies have saved me a fortune! Hugs all around!
