Jiko- The cooking Place

Thanks Scott Joseph for hitting me up with that link. I think you were doing restaurant reviews when I lived down in Orlando. That was from January 2000- June of 2005. But that name rings a bell. Thanks a bunch!!!!!:cool1:

I'm so glad I read this thread. We are going to Jiko for our anniversary dinner in September. I have always wanted to go to California Grill (which we are also going to on another night), but now we have booked Jiko, this is the restaurant I am most looking forward to.

Another thanks for the reviews. We are going to Jiko for the first time in October and can't wait.

Just one question, how obvious is the apple in the Barbecue Chicken Flatbread? I really would like to try this and on the whole I think I would love it, but I hate fruit in savoury dishes.

My DH and I ate at Jiko for the first time in January of this year. We loved it! For appitizers DH had the Cheese Selection and I had the ostrich. We both got the filet with mac and cheese..exellent! For dessert I had the Tanzanian chocolate cheesecake and DH had pistachio creme brulee. The service was wonderful too. We will go back on every trip. Oh- now I am hungry!

Thanks so much for your review Kelli Pooh. Yeah , now you are making me hungry too!! We have a reservation for Saturday night Sept 26th, and it just cannot get here soon enough for me!:cool1:
