Jiko or BlueZoo?

DW and I get one night out alone (the grandparents will watch our DS). We're down to either Jiko or BlueZoo. Which would you choose (and why)?

We're going for the 1st time in October.
But we've been to Bluezoo.
A stunning, beautiful restaurant.
And the food is terrific, especially if you like seafood.
If you go to Bluezoo, get there a little early, enjoy a cocktail at the bar to soak in the fabulous atmosphere.

I've heard great things about Jiko, but have no experience dining there.

Either way, I think you'll be just fine. My GUESS is Bluezoo is a bit more romantic.

I am the opposite, I have never eaten at Bluezoo, but have heard great things about it. However we LOVED Jiko this time, food, service, atmosphere all excellent. I will definitely be going back there again.

We have eaten at both Jiko and BlueZoo. Both have interesting menus, BlueZoo is slightly slanted towards seafood. The Jiko meal was with our children, the food was very good. The service was decent (not sure if due to kids being with us, but we felt rushed). We ate at BlueZoo wthout kids this past May and it was excellent. Both food and the service are top notch. If I had the choice I would do BlueZoo before Jiko. I also like BlueZoo more because after diner you have other adult options (i.e. JellyRolls )

That's a difficult choice, even though I haven't eaten at BlueZoo. What's attractive about each is that first of all, Jiko's food is fabulous! It is great walking about AKL -- beautiful!

But if you go to BlueZoo, you can have (from what I hear) a fabulous meal and then walk around the grounds of the Boardwalk afterwards. OR, if you time it just right you may be able to have dinner and then catch Illuminations afterwards since you are so close.

Good luck choosing!

Both are fine spots and we'll be doing both in October.
The only problem we had at the ZOO the last trip, was the noise. Swan and Dolphin are "convention" hotels and that week there were 4 or 5 different groups there. The Zoo was packed, with many tables of 8-10-12. All talking, all clamoring for "more water" "more bread" "extra butter" arguing over who owed what, etc etc
Am hoping for a more relaxed dinner this trip.
Of the two, I still prefer Jiko.

We've been to both several times and I would also go with Jiko's.

We have never eaten at BlueZoo before but we have eaten at Jiko many times. Jiko is our favorite place to dine at WDW. We will be eating there again next month.

Blue Zoo looks awesome! Did you check out their website? I would definitely want to see Blue Zoo!!!

Yeah--I imagine all those conventioneers were asking themselves how a slob like me was allowed in--. But I was, and frankly don't even recall anyone taking a second glance.
To be fair tho, would add that many were "business casual" at the Zoo that nite, mostly because they were at the Dolphin on "business".
IF you do the Zoo, they have an excellent Clam Chowder--NE style.
