Hi All -
Had a horrible dream last night that the fares went through the roof - so now I am getting ready to book our flights for our August Trip. Probably had the dream because all I keep doing is checking the darn fares on the computer!

Right now, Jetblue is $158/rt ($79/pp each way) - is this a good price from JFK to Orlando? Never flew from JFK before.

Thanks!

We just flew out of JFK to MCO in November. Although, I don't know how much of help it will be to you because we flew Song, we snagged airfare for $135 rt. We normally fly out of Newark, but for that price, it was worth it. Not crazy about the airport itself, but the price was right. Hope this helps! :earsboy:

That is a good price. I have flewn many times on Jet blue out of JFK to MCO. It may go down to $69 one way but even with a sale I have not seen it go down much more than that.

The cheapest fare flying to MCO, I have ever got was a ding fare on Southwest out of Islip for $100 R/T

Jet Blue just had a sale of $39 to MCO from all 3 NYC airports. Continetal also matched it from Newark to MCO. This was winter only so it would not have helped you. Summer is off season so flights may come down (or not).
There is a lot of competiiton on these routes so if JFK is not your first choice you might want to wait. For LGA try Song and Jet Blue. For EWR try Continental and Jet Blue.
Also you can mix your airlines to get the best times and routes if needed because there is not usually any savings booking a round trip vs 2 one ways. Sometimes a cheap fare may only be availible on an airline for 1 of your days, so try one way searches as well
I booked for Jan just under $400 for 4 us with taxes.

$69 each way is exactly what I paid last August for my trip out of JFK on Jet Blue. I booked it 10/04 & kept an eye on the fare. It ended up rising to $169 each way by the time we left.

Keep Trying!! Everyday, different days, times etc! I paid the $39 both ways coming up for feb, but last aug I paid $79, and $89 each way...just to see a couple months later the price drop tremendously, if I knew then like I know now, I could have gotten a credit for it...oh well, but if you book now, or see a decent fare, and see it drop you can get a credit for the difference to be used on future flights!

hi,
79 each way from jfk-mco in aug sounds about right.depending on with month you go,aug being a little more expensive since its the vaction month.in the past i have booked thru jetblue with fares as low as 39 each way and as high as 99 each way.my suggestion is keep checking the airlines websites for deals and good luck!!!

If I book the flights now and see a lower rate late, I understand that I can call them to get a credit, but is there a fee involved to do that? I read on their website that if you need to talk to them to make changes, there is a $25 fee - just want to have all my facts straight.

Thanks!

hi,
well you don't exactly get your money back from them.what you do get is the fact that they owe you such and such amont.a credit thru them.so if you book another fare with them in the near future you get that amont off that they owe you.but they will not give you a cash credit or credit card refund.as for the $25 fee,it is only applied if you have to cancel or change a flight for your own personal reasons.if a flight is canceled by them for any reason inculding weather reasons they will not charge you at all.hope this helps and good luck!!!!
