Jewelry Shopping on Western

Where are the best places to find jewelry on the western cruise. DW deserves something nice. Tanzanite, Saphires, etc.

I got a beautiful diamond band there. Started at 1359.00 got them down to $805.00 appraised back home for double!
Grand Cayman is more expensive and less willing to negotiate. The good thing about Diamonds International is they also have an upgrade policy that you can exchange the piece in the future if you so choose and recieve credit for a better one. They also have branches in many ports in the caribbean so you don't have to go back to the actual store you started at.

I got a nice pair of tanzanite earrings at Diamonds Intl. in Cozumel. Got them for less than half the asking price

With the recent heist in Antwerp and much of the blood diamonds still in circulation, I wonder how many jewels find their way to 3rd world markets, like those in the Carribean?

You may have been the lucky beneficiary of some of those jewels without knowing it.

Jewelry is marked up by as much as 1000% in the name stores, so If you can find it south of the border for 50% of its stateside appraised value, then you did well.
