Can anyone tell me if jetblue has assigned seating? Can you pick your seats when you buy the tickets? Are there any pages on the website showing a pic of the plane and what seats are open? Sorry for all the questions at once. Thanks all :wizard:

Jetblue DOES have assigned seating. You can choose your seats when you book online.Go to www.seatguru.com to see about the planes JB uses and to see where the best seats are.JB planes have more leg room in certain rows, so its worth a look. All JB planes are Airbus.HTH

You can pick your seat on domestic flights that are not too close to being full. It will allow you to do this as part of the process of buying the ticket online.. and the jetblue website shows you the diagram of the plane, explains which seats are exit rows, and which seats have the most leg room.

You can't look at the available seats on line until after you purchase the ticket. I had a problem with this when I booked with them for the first time and after I purchased the tickets for myself and DD, found out there were no seats together anywhere on the plane. I then called to speak to a rep who said they would make a note at the airport that we needed to be together. It was very stressful not knowing how this would work out especially since this was DD's first time flying. The rep suggested next time calling to see what seats were available, then booking on line to get the discount. I just did it over the phone the next time as paying the extra $10 was worth the peace of mind.

I agree with checking seatguru first as well, and they've recently updated their website so it's easier. And, JetBlue has just started flying Embraer 190's as well, so there are now 2 types of aircraft. We're flying on one of these a week from Saturday BOS-JFK, then in New York, we'll get on the Airbus 320 to go to FL.
