Jet Blue is about $150 increased difference altogether for our family of 4. Should we fly AirTran and save the $$ ??? Which is a better airline if money is not the concern?

Haven't flown JetBlue, but I can tell you that I love AirTran. I will always use them when I need to fly to a city that they serve. :)

never used jetblue but have used Airtran for the last 3 years after leaving usair. Have never had any problems with airtran and just booked a quick trip for feb 7 to 11 next week for $49 each way. Can't pass that up this time. I like Airtran because their new 717 has 2 seats on the left and 3 on the right, that way DW and I can be alone with out extra elbows on the 2 seat side :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship:

Hi Kate,
I'm from Rochester. We have LOVED our experiences on Jet Blue, but this trip we are going on Airtran for the first time. Why? Non-Stop!!!!!! Since we are going in Feb. thought this would cut down on any problems and would seem so quick compared to the connecting flights we usually have to take! I've heard all good things about Airtran, but if all things were equal (price, flight times) I would go with Jet Blue (tv in the seats, assigned seating). In your case they are not equal and $150 is $150!

Hi Kate,

I am also from Rochester. My family and I flew AirTran to Orlando in October 2004 and had a nice flight. We had direct flights both ways, which was great with two little ones. I have never flown JetBlue, but my in-laws have and really like their service. I would go for the cheaper flight and use the saved money for WDW :earboy2:

I just love JetBlue, but $150 is $150 and I would fly Air Tran.

$150 is a meal at Disney!

I can't justify flying any carrier for that difference.

I've flown both and prefer AirTran personally. We haven' t flown with them since Jan 04 (our last trip) but their non-stop flight prices are awesome. The service is really the same, IMO and besides the tv in the seats I don't really see any difference.

We were able to get our seat assignments 24 hours prior to check-in, don't know if that is different now, but we've always sat together (me, DH & DS) and never had a problem with this. Did I mention the prices? LOL!

We'll be flying them again next Jan.

GL with your choice but for me it isn't a matter of figuring out which airline, it's a matter of figuring out where I'd spend that $150!
