Well, Southwest Air flies from much more cities into Orlando. Their website is easy to use. They allow families with small children to pre-board so they can sit together. The crew members are always friendly and sometimes goofy. Plus, I love their corporate culture and taking care of employees attitude. ::yes::

My DH, DD and I have always flown SW but we had to fly Jet Blue in January unexpectadly and we loved them. I just booked our October flights and if JB had the sale fares for the flight times we needed I would have absolutely booked them again but I decided to go with Song instead for $135/pp r/t (this will be our first time with them). We've never had any real issues not having seat assignments with SW. We were only split up one time but we were late getting to the airport and that was before the days of being able to print your boarding passes ahead of time. But...I will always try to fly Jet Blue going forward because they have great customer service, I like the assigned seating and having the satellite tv makes the 3 hour flight to Orlando go a little quicker. One other thing I really like about SW is that you can make itinerary changes without a change fee vs $25/pp with JB and Song so they're are pros and cons to both airlines but I would still choose JB over SW.

Hard to say. I love SW because the airport is smaller and close to my home. Jet Blue is great because of the tvs and assigned seating. We're flying JetBlue next week because we had credit , I'm thinking "free flights".

IF the fare and flight details (N/S, time) were similar most people would prefer Jet Blue. Jet Blue has assigned seats, Directv and they don't overbook.

BUT I don't think there are that many airports that Jet Blue and SW both fly out of. It's unlikely you'll find the same fare and same flight availability.

Most passengers would book the cheaper flight with a schedule that they can live with.

SW is better if you need to change your flight but Jet Blue is better if you want to standby for a flight the same day.

ITA with this. I remember when JetBlue came to Boston there were HUGE write ups in the papers about it. And one of the JB execs pretty much came out and said "We're not interested in going head to head against Southwest." Makes sense to me. JB flies out of Logan, SWA is flying out of PVD (Rhode Island) BDL (CT) and MHT (NH).

All things being equal, I'll pick Jet Blue, but SWA is a close second for sure

I have the luxury of being near both Logan and TF Green. I much prefer JetBlue over Southwest. The FA's on both are entertaining but JetBlue has assigned seating, seatback TV's,decent snacks and little larger leather seat.

I fly whoever is cheaper and lately it has been Southwest or Song so JetBlue loses out.

At this point, though, I will fly Southwest to get my last 3 RR points to get my free flight.
