JetBlue November fares are out! What do you think of this Boston fare?

Yikes.

When I plug in my December dates into Kayak for Jet Blue, it prices it out to $781 per person round trip! I hope this is a glitch. I have a $250 JB gift certificate but I am not paying $781 to use it...even if it does expire in December! I will be booking United at $242.

I waited for Jetblue and the fares are $617 for Dec 8-15!!!!! What's up with that? I might just book Delta at this point. They are higher than I want at $270 but at least I won't have all the uncertainty.

i AM SO CONFLICTED. tHIS MORNING MY DATES WERE $615. They are now $257 rt (6 of us going) I can live with that but we would need to do a limo if we don't go with SW out of Manchester. Times are great, what to do, what to do. Should I wait???????
I wouldn't wait too long. It is gonna be a while until SWA releases late fall fares. If that's your preferred route, then maybe you ought to wait for Southwest if that works for you. But personally, once I find a fare I can live with, I take it (and given current conditions, thank my lucky stars).

In our case, we are going over the whole week of Thanksgiving. We booked our return flight pretty early, back in February, since we found a Delta non-stop MCO-BOS for $87.50 per person on 11/27 (at our preferred flight time). I have been watching for the outbound flight ever since, often frustrated as it started out at >$500, then down to $239 a few weeks back, all one-way non-stop on Delta. So I have been watching JetBlue, since that's our preferred airline anyway, and finally today thru www.Kayak.com, the outbound fare for 11/18 (the Sat before Thxgiving) comes out for JetBlue at $129.30 per person (again, one-way non-stop), so I jumped on it. So my total comes to $216.80 per person for the round-trip, all non-stop flights at our preferred times for the week of Thanksgiving (9 days, Sat-Mon). That's a price I can live with, which is yet another thing for which to be thankful.

I'm hoping that at some point I'll find something around $250 out of NYC for NYE. Last year I booked the resort and ADRs but the air never became reasonable. I cancelled the trip and we were so bummed watching WDW on television NYE.

This year I have a tower room at the CR booked and my fingers crossed for airfare that I can live with.

I just checked kayak.com and jet blue is no linger appearing for November. Any clue why?

The original prices yesterday on Kayak.com were a mistake($617-$677 rt). Tues 11/21-Tues 11/28 were $99 each way on JetBlue out of Buffalo, NY, RT Boston which are non-stop flights (we got 7am arrive 10:15am, depart 5:20pm arrive back in BOS 8:10 pm) $257/person. This is traveling for Thanksgiving. I booked BOS last night, my sister booked BUF today. I was on Kayak.com just before 1pm today & the fares were still there but not on JetBlue yet. I'm thrilled with the flight times & fact of non-stop flights for us.

Why can you book through kayak.com but not directly at jetblue.com yet?

I think the OP had said that this had happened when JetBlue released thru Oct but that was on a Monday I believe on Kayak & then Tues for JetBlue itself, perhaps because of the weekend now the fares won't be on JetBlue web site until Mon? Just a thought. However Kayak takes you to JetBlue's website, you book with JetBlue directly not Kayak.

I would make the reservation now. I purchased tickets for our trip in October and the rates were high but I now have a credit in the amount of $430 with JB. Since we own DVC we will be going again next year. JB credits require that you purchase tickets within one year of the credit date. If you plan on going on another trip the credit can always be applied to that. Annmarie

If you are uncomfortable with booking via kayak on jetblue online, then call in at 1800jetblue and book over the phone, I was able to get the same price on the phone as was being offered online. If the agent says only until 10/31 ask him/her do the search and it will come up.

Yesterday my december flights were at $700+, on Saturday evening, they were $236 rt from BUF, it would seem the price on Friday was an error, or just a number that is given when the real prices is unknown to the search engine.

Asked about any price drops and the agent told me to call in and I would be issued a credit, will be able to use it on my Oct 07 flight.

Yep, I just checked this morning and the round trip fares from BOS to ORL were at $257 - $119 each way without taxes. I finally just sucked it up and booked.

I looked there and they are still only on Kayak. Not on Jetblue yet, although they will allow you to book the Nov dates by pressing the link. $119 one way for our Nov dates too. Not too bad. I still want SW out of MHT, but may consider using Flightline or something to get to Logan fly JetBlue.

Just called Jet Blue and asked for Nov/Dec flight - was told they were not out yet. Read the post from pjpoohbear to the agent and bingo!! The agent's name is Marlene and she was a dream. I think she was as excited as I was to get the flights I wanted at $238 each for 11/25-12/2.

Maybe I could have waited for Southwest, but I decided it was too much of a gamble.

Good luck everyone! Thanks pjpoohbear!

I jumped on it. I've been waiting for December to come out. I'm doing a quick weekend trip Fri-Mon so times were crucial and nonstop was a must. There were NO acceptable times out there with other airlines so JetBlue was my only option, and JetBlue times are always good for me. For BOS-MCO I paid $257, which I'm happy with, considering I paid $277 for my October trip. Not what I used to pay, but those days are gone. I'll cross my fingers that the price goes down, but I don't think it's going to happen. My flights for October are now up to $297.

By the way, to the OP - THANK YOU!!! :thumbsup2 I've been obsessively checking the JetBlue site daily, but also coming to the DIS in case one of you knew something I didn't. Well, you did! I got a jump on the competition because I work tomorrow so I wouldn't have been able to check JB's site again until Tuesday. Kayak is my new best friend. :goodvibes

Glad to help out, but the credit goes to the Op! I was just able to confirm. :cool1:

Thanks to all of you for the kayak hint. I've been waiting very impatiently for release dates for our Nov. cruise. It was JetBlue or nothing b/c I couldn't chance waiting for Southwest with the prospect of paying for the cruise before having my airline tickets. So tonight I got a jump on the competition (we are flying Jersey week), had the whole plane to choose seats from and got a decent fare. It's not a great fare but not one that I choked on either. Wow, thanks again. :grouphug:

Just check again today and Jet Blue is not showing up for BOS to MCO anymore. I wonder if it was a computer glitch. I am glad some DIS members were able to get the flights they wanted.

You're right that it's not on Kayak anymore, but the JetBlue website itself has flights through early January.

Thanks, when I check at 9:30 am they were listed. They must have just opened up.
