Just booked Jetblue flights for July. There are now no fees to change or cancel flights booked
March 27 - April 30 for travel through October 24.

Do you know if you book, and the price drops, would they put the difference in your jet blue bank?

Jetblue has extended their schedule & posted their updated travel bank info. You’ll have 18 months to use the credit from when it was issued.

Unfortunately if you booked prior to the virus (Feb12) they are still only waiving fees for flights up to June 1. We are June 6. They are more focused on booking new fares and not worrying about some flyers. Plus they canceled my May flight, but only want to offer a travel bank. I’m holding out since DOT is looking into carriers who cancel but won’t give refunds. I only fly Jetblue, but not happy with them right now. I’ve been a true blue member for 10+ years and a JB cc cardholder. Still hoping they honor refunds for flights they canceled as described in their customer bill of rights. Ugh.

Were you ever able to call them about this? If so, what did they say?

I was originally given a travel credit and decided that I would prefer to have my money refunded. I reached out this week and stated that they have changed my flights and under their customer bill of rights that entitled me to a refund. They told me it would take 5-7 days to remove the points from my travel bank and another 7-10 to refund to my credit card. It's definitely worth trying to call and see what they say.

ETA: Our flights were at the end of April and May.

We would fly jet blue on November 10, 2020 & November 17, 2020
Not included in the plan = so no reservations on JetBlue planned as of yet
Still waiting for a COVID-19 vaccine :)
Per the below - I do not want to loose $650 - so it is still a no go to book with JetBlue
We may have to move out vacation to WDW till May of 2021
Maybe by then the scientist and the IBM super computer can come up with a COVID-19 cure and vaccine.

I found ...
Due to the ongoing coronavirus situation, we are waiving change/cancel fees for customers traveling through May 31, 2020.

Customers may rebook their flights for travel through January 4, 2021 online in the Manage Trips section of jetblue.com or contact us prior to the departure time of their originally scheduled flight. Fare difference may apply. For cancellations, funds will be issued as a JetBlue Travel Bank Credit, valid for 18 months from date of issuance. JetBlue Vacations bookings will be issued as JetBlue Vacations Credit, valid for 18 months from date of issuance.

I did finally call. Wait time was 20 minutes. Rep was pleasant and helpful. Pretty much covered it all in my request, “my flight for 8 was canceled and I’m calling to get a refund back on my Jetblue MasterCard“. She said ok, no problem. Since I booked 8 I had 2 reservation. One for 7 with points and tax and the other one cash. Absolutely no problem. However, my flight home is outside the waived window of May 31, and my flight back is June 6th. Ironically into DCA which has a stay at home order until June 10. She suggested I wait for Jetblue to extend the waiver before I can do anything. My flight was bought feb 12th so don’t fit into the new booking waiver. So half good news and half limbo

Glad to hear that. I had a feeling they'd be reasonable over the phone. Our flights were also departing in May, arriving in June, and all was refunded, but I suppose that's because we booked it round trip.

yes, round trip would do it. Since I was buying 8 tickets, I used points one way and cash on the return home. You can’t do it this way on a round trip. I may contact them on FB messenger. They canceled my flight down and now I have a flight home. Lol. Im hopeful they’ll extend the deadline.

I've found it to be better to use chat. Its not always available on their site for some reason. I had some tickets I had to cancel early on before the various policies were in place and calling in was a solid NO. I used chat and they took care of it.
I had a similar issue with a snowstorm last year.
Might be anecdotal - but I always use the chat option now

I did contact them again on FB messenger this time and they offered me the flight credit, which I expected since the flight was not canceled, but my flight down was, plus it was outside the waived window. I was so glad to have them make the exception. I get the seat costs back on my Jetblue MasterCard and the the rest in my travel bank, but it doesn’t expire for 2 years....I was shocked. So relieved. So I got full refund for my costs flying down (they canceled) and travel credit for the flight back and they waived all fees (I canceled).

Ugh, I booked 3/2/2020 for travel in August. When I called them, they said no refunds.

yea, they wouldn’t help me when I called. I just posted On their FB page and they responded back asking me to private message them with my confirmation number and they would see what they could do. It wouldn’t hurt to try, but August could be different. All the uncertainty is so stressful.

Ok, so please forgive my confusion ! We are booked to MCO ( from jfk) on July 14 ( RT)

Booked on 1/18/20

Trip totally up in air ( especially if travel restriction to FLA not lifted )

So, if JetBlue doesn't cancel the flight and we had to, I can't get a refund, correct ?

Funds would go into a travel bank? ( thought I saw on their website it was good for 24 months? ( think I saw 18 on this thread) - no refund option ?

If JetBlue cancels, is there still no refund option , and still goes into travel bank ?

TIA for any help !

And assuming since we booked prior to feb 12, we don't fall into the new book fee waiver either -
