I read some news stories recently about some of the major airlines changing their carry-on bag size limit to 22" x 14" x 9" (including wheels, etc) but many of those articles also noted that JetBlue still had a generous size limit of around 24" x 16" x 10".
DH and I typically collect our own bags at baggage claim and use a town car service when traveling by ourselves so we only carry on a small, under-the-seat, tote then. This fall, however, we will be traveling with additional family members, including a 3-year old, and we will be using DME with the luggage delivery service. We will be spending check-in day at the pool. Since we won't have our luggage right away, we each want to take an "over head bin" carry-on bag so that we will have swimsuits, shorts, and other items we will need for that first day.
Here is my concern: I decided to double-check the JetBlue carry-on size limits; their website now says their limit is 22" x 14" x 9". Our small wheeled bags are 23.5" x 15.5" x 10". Has anyone seen the JetBlue gate agents making passengers gate-check bags recently that likely met the previous requirements? We really don't want to delay our DME departure by having to go to baggage claim to collect carry-on bags that may have been disallowed on board (MCO baggage seems to take a very long time to come out). Thanks for your thoughts!
