Have any of you used it? We have iPhones, can we download them to our phones and they scan them at all check points for security etc? Anybody done this? How did it work? Would you recommend it?

Have not used it, but yes they are downloaded to your phone and they get scanned like a boarding pass. But you can only have one pass per phone. So everyone in your party must have their own phone, no multiple passes per phone. But you could always have 2 people in your party using phones and the other 2 use regular paper borading passes, if not every one had a phone.

We just flew with them a few weeks ago, and while we did have our mobile boarding passes, they made up print them out anyway when we checked in.

If you had already gotten mobile boarding pass why did you need to check in again? Maybe if you go to the counter they have to print it?

I used it on my flight home from Orlando to JFK and it made life a breeze. I didn't check a bag so I was able to go straight to security and then to my gate. I just made sure my phone had enough charge to last so there would be no issue. Only certain airports will let you use them and it is listed on the app. I thought it was great but the workers didn't seem to think so. I realized at security there is no proof you had been through security except that they scan the ticket to get the information and validate it is you. Other than that no signature or writing on the pass.

Now that I think about it, something was going on at the airport that day. It was during the sequestering/TSA furlough. There were additional employees directing us to the counter. We actually almost missed our flight because security was so backed up. I told the JetBlue employee that we were already checked in and they said they still needed to see our ID and print one out. Maybe it was an exception on that particular morning.

MY dh just flew Monday (and again tomorrow) on JB. He had boarding pass on his phone but he likes to take a paper print out as well as a back up.

It's just me and my husband (I don't know all the abbreviations you all use, lol) and myself. We both have iPhones and well as iPads.

After reading everything I'm not sure what to do.....

This is overkill, but you could print the paper ones out at home, and try to use the electronic ones. If the electronic ones don't work, then you have the paper ones as backup.

One suggestion... make sure you know how to call up the boarding pass. When I used the Delta App last year, I kept clicking on the wrong place to call up the BP. It took me a couple minutes (TSA wasn't familiar enough with it to help) to figure it out. No, there was no one behind me at security.

We have even more speed with our boarding pass, so we are SUPPOSED to go through a dedicated faster line at BOS.

I'm just concerned if we print it we can't download it as well.

Did he find that he old use JUST what he downloaded?

He said he didn't because they weren't "doing that" with the look that I should of known that!

He said it doesn't work all the time either from what he has seen with other travelers. But he flys out if Hartford so it may just be there.

JetBlue only allowed using mobile boarding passes at BOS, FLL, LAS, LGB, MCO, JFK, SFO AND SJU

We used it in BOS. it's easier to print your pass for TSA but using it to board was a breeze
