Please help me....

My 3:45 flight from boston to mco was cancelled... I just got notified via email....What do I do now!
I am freaking out! I tried to call but I have been on hold for awhile!

Thanks!

All you can do is stay on the phone until you get a reservation agent. If they can't put you on another flight tomorrow, ask if you can be moved to another airline. I'm not sure if Jet Blue has interline agreements to sign over your ticket.

A quick web search makes it appear that JetBlue does NOT interline, but I can't confirm that.

The website only offers rebooking information.

OP, I think that you have a few choices
  • wait for an agent and try to rebook later in the week, which may be difficult as JetBlue is trying to catch up on 5 days of cancelled flights
  • book another carrier and get JetBlue credit for your cancelled flight
  • cancel your trip and go another time

If you were flying on a legacy carrier, you may have had luck getting your ticket 'signed over' to another airline. ie if United cancelled my flight, I could fly on American without paying extra, if United signed over the ticket.

They don't have interline agreements so your options are to get B6 to book you on another of their flights after the 19th, take their refund and rebook on another airline (ouch, probably walk-up fare), or drive. Apparently they've canceled flights out of 11 cities thru the 19th to get planes and crews back where they need to be.... pretty amazing that they've had to resort to such drastic measures to "right the ship" and they're still getting hammered in the press and on message boards.

if you DO buy another ticket on another airline, travelocity.com is showing $583 for a connecting flight, $1000+ for a nonstop.

Unfortunately this is the reality with low cost carriers that do not have agreements with other airlines, or are not large enough to provide enough staff or aircraft to deal with such a situation.

It looks like JetBlue is getting very bad press over on www.flyertalk.com. That's too bad, as it seems that they did have a solid plan to focus on customer service. One incident like this can undo all those years of good service for many customers.

I have not gone over to Flyertalk this weekend.

However, I wonder if JetBlue's Storm plan was not as robust as someone like say USAir. I remember several years ago watching a documentary on how the "legacy" airlines plan, deal with and re-group from NE snow storms.

The other thing that comes to mind is just the size of the fleet. With a smaller fleet it doesn't take much to "throw" things into a tizzy.

OK I went to Flyertalk.com Boy are they unhappy over there LOL!

JetBlue seems to have an issue here......(Never flown them. From ATL they only fly to Puerto Rico or someplace liket that)

There are a couple flights on Southwest from Manchester. Can you drive to NH (that is what we are doing in April) and take SW to MCO then work with Jet Blue to get a refund for your cancelled flight? Your flight home should be ok. Or try checking going from Hartford or TF Green in RI if Boston is still sold out.I would even try to get out today if you can add an extra night to your stay.:wizard: :wizard: Pixie dust

Sorry about your situation!

My son and I were supposed to be in South Carolina this weekend but flights were so messed up I ended up never leaving my home airport. They said everything going south was overbooked.

I jokingly asked if I could go to Orlando instead and the agent replied that the only way I was getting to Orlando was to get in my car and start driving.

Best of luck

We were on a flight several months ago where a child was playing with the handle on the exit door. My daughter was sitting right there and was getting very upset. I came back from first to see her and she told me to get back up front. She was very afraid that the toddler was going to find a way to get that door open. The mother and F/A just stood there until my daughter said something. People sometimes don't think when they are on a plane.

I think I got something on United for tomorrow.... it is 400 per person though!!

I am so mad at Jet Blue. Of the 5 flights out of Boston tomorrow only ours was cancelled!!!

Thanks for all the help!! We will get there somehow...

I never got through to them either.... Now they are no longer taking calls!

Can someone tell me if they automatically refund the fare or do I need to actually contact them I tried to do it online and my refund was only $0.40!
(can't be!!)

Thanks,

They aren't taking calls?

Did you buy a roundtrip on the new airline? If so I would just call your CC company and open a dispute. At some point you are probably going to HAVE to talk to them. (You might point out that cancelling the flight was bad, not taking calls is INEXCUSEABLE!)

From what I've read earlier today, their phone lines are jammed up - all the slots are taken so many callers are just getting a recording to try again later and then it hangs up. They physically don't have the capacity to take this many calls right now.

I would keep trying to call. Maybe they can put you on one of the other flights. If not you need to make sure they will be processing a refund.

Good Luck! Let us know how it works out!

When life gives you lemons.....

I was able to get the flight on United and instead of getting into Orlando at 7:00PM we now are arriving at 12:30PM so more time in WDW!!

I am able to get through to JB now but I am still on hold...!

I was able to reschedule the limo as well... and the United seats are First Class( yikes!)

Tomorrow we will be in Disney and this mess will be all behind us....

Thanks!!!!
