Jetblue Frustration

Do not get Frusteated!!

Trust me :)

I am sorry they are not out yet, but they will be the best prices when they 1st come out.

May seem frustrating. But with Oil Sliding on Friday again, we are constantly adjusting prices..... ( Its all for the good of the customer, you! )

Just rrest assure we are doing things to help you.. And Remember Alot of our prices drop, so if you see you you can get a credit!

We are not looking to Stick it to anyone. We are here for you and do our best ( despite some of th negitave comments we do get from time to time )

But like i say, please send those comments in to JB, good and bad...

Thank you for flying JB. I am here to help, and i have a whole network of crewmembers to find answers..

Bri

Bri,

You may be able to get a credit, but doesn't JetBlue charge $100 per ticket to do this now? If I paid $200 one way and the price dropped to $150 it would not be worth getting the credit because a $100 fee is more than the $50 price difference. Am I right here or misinformed?

Yes we do charge a fee, and it was supposed to start up again Aug 1st. But i have heard many stories where we have not been charging, since 1 Aug

Mnay people have written in, becasue it was nice to not be charged, so maybe they are extending it longer!! :)

I am sure someone will post the fee soon enough when they get charged.

Bri.

Bri - Well I did speak to JB customer service this a.m. JetBlue does not let passengers bring their own oxygen onto the plane nor do they provide their own tanks for passenger's personal use.

I know there are very few airlines that do allow this. Delta is one of them. I can get a dr.'s prescription faxed to their "medical" department and they provide the tank for my daughter. The fee is $100 for each leg of our flight.

Oh well. My daughter won't be with me for my Feb.trip, so I'll still wait for those JetBlue fares - I'm anxious to try them based on all the positive things I've heard.:)

Yeah, my experience is that you shouldn't start getting concerned about JetBlue releasing its scheduled until after 5 months prior to your flight.

I know I'm impatient...If I can hold off my mother for an extra month...:rotfl:

I am going to WDW in February, flying from Boston. I got tired of waiting for SW and JetBlue to open the dates so decided to check out other carriers. I am very happy with what I purchased. I have direct flights both ways, $94 each way. I am flying down on AirTran and back on Delta. Both airlines check the first bag for free. AirTran, however charges you $6 to book a seat on-line, or you can choose not to pay the $6 and take what ever seat you get. Delta let me choose seats for free. Still, I am happy with the price, the fact that they are direct, and the times are good too.

Where did you find those prices???

I'm glad you got a price that you are happy with. But just a word of advice: keep an eye on your flights. Seriously - check them daily. Both of those airlines are notorious for changing flight times.

I, too, am impatiently waiting for JetBlue's Feb. fares.

We should start a "We're Awaiting JB Feb Rates Club"

I never felt like anyone was sticking it to me...I just want to fly JB...Mom is bieng a nag...I like my flying TVs, extra munchies if I want them...I love that munchie mix...and a drink. (or are they charging for this now too???) Either way I love my flying TV...

Hi All,

Unfortuently No. I even talked to Reservations Dept. They said alot of calls have been placed by you Jbers...

They dont even knoW~~~ It has to be a secret on fares, for competition reasons.. Which i am sure is understandable :)

Usually its 6 months.. But like i said it is only for the better.

If I hear anything or they get released i will post something if some1 else has not already..

Bri

I'm all for cometitive fares...I just want to know when they will be out...:surfweb:

Just going to throw my 2 cents in here....given the dismal economy and even more dismal state of airlines in general I am thinking that JetBlue is going to wait until the very last minute to release those spring airfares.Everything is in such unknown territory travel-wise I would expect them to be reluctant to release fares and flights until they have as much info as possible. It would be less likely to need adjustments in flights and prices, keeping all of us happier in the end. I have flights booked for Sept and although nothing has changed since we booked I would not be surprised if things change right after the end of summer travel (Labor Day).

Just a thought...the government gave me $600 to spend to boost the economy...but the thing that I want to spend my money on in the economy isn't cooperating LOL

Bri: Do you know if Jet Blue is ever going to resume flights from the West Coast to Orlando again? I love JB

Just wanted to say thanks to Bri for all the wonderful information!:goodvibes I am a loyal JetBlue fan and am very patiently awaiting those April fares!

I understand the frustration of the OP. I also have been waiting for jetBlue fares for February since June. :bored:Of course when I have grunted in frustration at having to wait, DW has advised me:
"Patience, Grasshopper"
I am just hoping they come out before we head down for our Labor Day weekend down at SSR & BCV. I'm sure jetBlue is busily putting fuel hedges in place, doing calculations about which routes to keep and which to suspend, deciding whether the size of the airplane fleet suits the route plans they want to have in place, etc.

jetBlue is by far our favorite airline, and we have been adjusting vacation plans to suit jetBlue's route plan ;) (e.g. we flew to Austin in April, what a great airport!). The Lufthansa connection (20% ownership, I believe) is another positive for us, having German relatives to visit.

So I'm waiting as patiently as I can. :bored:

They say patience is a virtue....I don't think I have it...

Pumpkin Boy Wanna play catch while we wait??? :bored:

Ok So, I'm 6 months out from my trip...and jetblue still has not posted their airfare for Feb 2009!!! Anyone else have this issue???
Who else does everyone fly with...I might have to look at other options. Which sucks because I really like JetBlue...but this is ridiculous!

I read the title of this post and thought it was going to be something totally different. We had an extremely frustrating experience with JB recently and I wish we were just waiting for fares. ;) I'm waiting to see the outcome until I post the details on the Dis, but based on the first repsonse I got from them its not looking good.

While in the past I have been a die hard JB fan, If you can find a decent deal on another airline I would say go for it. I've seen what they can do to their loyal customers.

Well, no - you could, right now, purchase Jet Blue Gift Cards.

You're right I could, but why spend more money on gift cards then I would need airfare (b/c I don't know what the price will be and I don't need $600 worth of GC's) and if the fares aren't out, how can I guarantee that they will still be around?

OP, you're not the only one not-so-patiently waiting. It's the very first thing I check--every morning! Come on February fares!

I just called them because...I have ADHD and I'm not afraid to be impatient!!! :rotfl:

Still no word...They don't find out until the day the fares come out...

HELLO JETBLUE THE TRAVELERS ARE RESTLESS!!!

I'm waiting too. But I already bought tickets for our flight down to florida - we are leaving at the end of January. I didn't want to wait until the Feb fares were posted because I was afraid that the Jan prices would go up. So, I have tickets to get down, but still no return tickets. Maybe we will just have to stay indefinitely ;)

You guys are killing meeee..

Im sorry they havent posted yet.. But take a look atthe bright side. Oil keeps going down, and so will our prices :)

Keep watching.. Ill post if i hear anything more..

Bri

I'm waiting for those Jet Blue tickets too- it will help me decide to take a little trip during the February school break. Although I didn't reserve a room yet, which could be a problem. My luck, i would have a good fare, but have to sleep at the airport!

Hmm...that gives me an idea...I need to return from my trip on 3/1/2009...I am sure I will have to wait forever for those...:rolleyes1 So, IF Feb prices come out I'll buy those and then poof! purchase March when they come out...:rolleyes1

However, it wouldn't be so bad to get caught in Disney...Would it...You could always apply...work there...why not?:upsidedow

Well, today's not the day...
