I am canadian and have never flew with Jet Blue. How are they? We will drive to VT to fly from there. Are they a good airline?Nervous flyer here :lmao:

I was always happy with them. I tend to drive more these days, but I used them frequently at one point and always had good experiences with them.

JetBlue is AMAZING!!!! I would fly them every time I fly if they went where I needed them to go.

We flew JetBlue twice when they were new and loved it......lately though I have not had luck finding direct flight and don't find the savings worth the extra travel time. Up to 7 hours for what should be a 21/2 hour flight for us. Lately we have used Southwest.

We drive to Burlington, Vermont when flying somewhere in the US, and JetBlue is my carrier of choice: good service (phone, on-board), 1 free luggage piece, free snacks & drinks on-board, and free satellite TV with REAL channels.

There is also the added value of flying out of Burlington: small airport, free Wi-Fi, can get there less than an hour before, security agent more helpful & patient with casual flyers.

I think you'll be very happy with your choice.

You'll love jetblue. great airline, customer focused, and seatback tv's! We don't fly often, but will only fly jetblue. Planes are newer too, for what its worth, so rest assured. You made the right choice!:thumbsup2

Thank you everybody :goodvibes

I think I will be ok, seat back TV is a bonus arriving alive is priceless:lmao:

Rewok do you drive down the day before or the same day?

I really love Jetblue and am using them in 2 weeks to get to Florida for a cruise. I like them so much that we are flying into Ft. Lauderdale and then getting a shuttle to Miami, because I don't think Jetblue goes directly to Miami.

I was checking the price of the flights that I bought and saw that they went down what I thought was $200. I called up and the customer service rep spent about 45 minutes on the phone with me because she saw that it went down even more but couldn't get me the credit for the lowest fare. She had her supervisor give me a credit for what she could, made notes on my account, and then told me to contact Jetblue on their website to complain. In 2 days I had a $400 credit in my Trueblue account! We might just have to fly to Disney soon just to use that credit before it expires! I was really impressed by how hard that rep worked to get me that credit, and my kids love the TVs on the planes.

Hi Tara,

We are also flying JetBlue for the first time in december. Driving from NB to Portland Maine. The price was sooo much cheaper we just couldnt pass it up. I look forward to hearing what you thought.

I love JetBlue and go out of my way to fly with them when possible. What really sold me was when we had a flight delayed because of weather where the plane was coming in from...only a 30 minute delay, nothing huge. But within a week of getting home, we had a $25 credit in our TrueBlue account because of the inconvenience. I always appreciate companies who make sure they take care of the customer. We didn't ask for any kind of compensation for the delayed flight (things happen, you know?)

I'm a nervous flyer and I love Jet Blue - if I have to fly they are the ones I feel most comfortable on. If I fiddle enough finding something to watch on the TV in the back of the seat, and eat my snack, then we are almost ready to land in Orlando.

I'm flying Jet Blue too. Do you have to provide your own headphones for the TV or does the carrier provide them? Is there a charge? How much? Thanks in advance.

We prefer to drive down the night before, since DH is NOT a morning person, I'm stressed about possible what if delays at the border, and it makes the vacation start earlier! I factor in the hotel cost when looking at flights (only 2 of us so the saving is not always as much)

You can bring your own, or they sell some at the gate and on-board, but then they are only available after the plane is in full flight, better to get them before.

I would bring your own. They'll undoubtedly be better quality than the cheap ones you buy from JetBlue.

The headphones last time we flew were really cheap - they had them at the gate to buy out of a bin where you put in a $1 and pick up a package. They were actually not bad things for young kids who don't do well with ear buds and more expensive sets.

I don't know if they are still $1 though!

We used Jet Blue out of Buffalo last year, and are using them again in December, they were great!
It's actually easier for us to drive to Buffalo then Toronto to fly and a heck of alot cheaper.

:flower3:

Thanks so much for the replies on the headphones. Another item to add to my packing list! Really appreciate the info.

We flew JetBlue out of Burlington, Vt we are from NH had a 2 hour drive but it was so worth it. Loved the airline and TV on back of seat. The airport is small but that was a plus not crowded at all. We would fly out of Burlington more often if more deals on flights.

I've only flown 3 times (all to Disney and back) all on JetBlue and I love them! All were direct flights and the tv, snacks and customer service were great. The flights just came out tonight for our vacation in January and I wouldn't book with anyone else until their rates came out and ended up having the best price and the only one with a direct flight!:lovestruc
