They will give you a credit towards your next flight.

When I book, I'll be getting a $80 fare, but applying my $44 credit...yippee!!

Thanks for your help, but I guess I got excited for nothing. My fare is now waaaay higher. I paid approx $235 pp round trip, and the same flights are now $398 pp round trip.
