Hi all...my friend was telling me that Southwest will give you a credit if you book a flight with them and then the fare goes down. Does anyone know if Jet Blue has something like this also? I've searched all over their website and I couldn't find any info about it, so I thought I'd ask here before I called them. If this is true, how exactly does it work? Do you only have a certain amount of time to use the credit, etc? Thanks!

Yes, they do. There are some differences:

JetBlue
  • Credit can be obtained online or over the phone; online requires changing your current reservation and selecting the exact same flights. Seats will need to be reselected.
  • Credit is valid for one year from date credit is received
  • Credit can be used by anyone

Southwest
  • Credit can be obtained online or over the phone
  • Credit is valid for one year from date of original purchase
  • Credit can only be used by the original ticketed passenger

Ooh...I like that jet blues can be used by anyone. This may come in handy because I may take a solo trip later this year. So I could use all 4 of the credits (if there are any) towards my ticket?
